The psuedo science arguments they put forward are either well out of date or severely misrepresented. With the child like concepts they adhere to, no wonder they have trouble understanding the true nature of scientific methodology and current mainstream understandings.

Whoever spruiks this misinformation to the flocks is either a fool or a liar with an agenda. Either way they are ultimately destructive and foster disharmony, and should be removed from their self imposed pedistals.

Their arguments are now so predicatble and so easily countered, that only whacky illogical ramblings can be put forward as a fresh retort.
These only impress fools and the severely ill informed..

Did you know that eggs can be added in every single type of baked and fried cooking and it will always turn out great?
Simply said, eggs go with everything.

PS: I was going to post this in the Food&Drinks section, but there doesn't seem to be many people there.

Why is that? Jesus Himself clearly tells the disciples He is going to return even tells them signs to look for in all 4 gospels, through the prophets hundreds of years before He was born and then the whole book of Revelation. Do you think the church avoids it because they fear people will look to the leaders less? You would think they would want Christians to live in the hope of His return and live more fully in that hope.

I can understand being closed on Sunday due to religious conviction. If you think that's the way to keep the commandment, go ahead.

What frustrates me is a store that closes at seven all week and six on Sundays (or similar). Why close just a little early on Sunday? If it's religious conviction, why stay open through church and evening activities, and then close as soon as people are home?

Is it just that there's no business on Sunday because everyone assumes everything is closed all day or closing early?

If god is omnipotent, all-knowing, and so INNATELY perfectly that we cannot even visualize in our minds the awesomeness that he possess,
how can his actions, concerning mankind, be regarded as so praise worthy?
his existence is perfect, he feels no desire to do bad because he is goodness incarnate.
any action, be it the creation of the universe, or the favor of delivering humans through adversity, requires no more than a mere snap of the fingers from him.

the only thing that you could argue is "hard" for god is watching his people commit immoral, unwise acts, but of course, he would see alot less of that kind of behavior on earth if he hadn't displaced economicall resources so unfairly on earth, or let tens of billions people believe in incorrect faiths (Islam, etc) that were passed on to them historically and culturally by their ancestors.

what is so hard about being god?
It seems harder to be a human living on this imperfect earth that it is to be an all-powerfull deity

Harry Potter is a money machine.
Money is the root of all evil.
Evil is a provence of Satan.
Satan controls Hell.
Hell is a lake of fire.
To catch fire, a lake must be full of petroleum pollution.
Pollution is the fault of Big business.
Big Business is in control of George Bush.
So, obviously, George Bush is evil.

God and Jesus are the same right? So if god sent himself to earth to do, wouldn't that be suicide?

If Jesus and God are one and the same, that means God sent himself to earth to kill himself. That would be suicide, and the means that god sinned... anyone else find this queer?

Alot of unhappy people out there, mad at the world, mad at God, mad at their neighbor, bf,gf, makes me wonder if people forgot how to care about one another. There's been alot of bashing each other and negativity here lately, where's everybody at? I would just like to see someone change the mood a little, maybe brighten someone else day.

I have never met my Guide Spirit, but I did have this dream that I was walking and all of a sudden I fell of a cliff. I was falling and at that very moment I woke up, I felt like I was really falling, like I was actually there! Is this a sign or just me?!

Let's see if I can formulate this question into making some sort of sense. It's something that always bothered me as a christian and now, obviously not being christian, I'd like for someone to answer it to the best of your abilties.

Obviously the antichrist has already been chosen. Some random person does not grow up and choose to be the anti-christ. It is something that he is born with. Now I know it's widely believed that he will be in politics and grow up in romania, but my question is:

How is it fair that god throws him into the lake of fire at the end? It was not his choice but according to the bible his destiny. (Where is free will here?) And if you are going to come up with the conclusion that maybe he has some sort of conception the same way jesus did....

How is this fair on his mother?

God if refured to as a CONSUMING FIRE in the Bible several times. Have you aloud Him to cosume you and everything you hold dear? We should let Him consume us at all times, do you? If so then you will live your life to please Him and not worry about what people think about you, Does that describe you? God not only wants to consume the sin in your life but also everything that makes you who you are, HE wants to be your all in all, your reason to wake up and face the day. If you let God be your CONSUMING FIRE you will be amazed at just how things that used to worry you seem to fade away and Heaven seems that much closer.
Is HE your consuming Fire? I know HE is mine!!!!!

Definition of an Athiest : One who does not proclaim openly to believe in God or has NOT found his/her CONCEPT of God in any organized religion upto that time.

An Athiest generally has his/her own belief of a higer being and has chosen to follow an inner voice until they find what they feel is the truth. Deep down they may feel that they are "open minded" which means they are ready to listen to all concepts of God and will choose what their heart responds to.

These people have great potential to become very strong Monotheists.

Definition of a Polytheist : Someone who believes God is a multiple indentity deity who can assume two or more identities independently at one and the same time.

A Polytheist believes in something that goes against common sense and therefore must learn to inhibit the natural voice of wisdom that is inside all people.

A Polytheist will be of two types, either an inverted worshipper or an evangelical extravert.

An interverted Polytheist will maintain that faith is a personal choice and worship should be done to better oneself.

An evangelical Polytheist believes they are representatives of Polytheism on the earth and the way to better themselves is to become a means of their faith spreading or being shared by others in the name of love and compassion.

They will also believe that their faith is in danger as long as anyone exists around them who proclaims something different from what they believe.

In order to protect their faith in polytheism they will do whatever is necessary to eradicate all signs of opposition and especially all signs of Monotheism.

These people have a great potential to become very strong enemies of Monotheism unless they abandon the confusion of a multiple godhead and believe in the simplicity of perfect Monotheism. In the end, Polytheism is guaranteed to collapse from within itself since the confusion that surrounds such concepts of God will always create more and more schisms and divisions.

This question might not appealing to some, but it kept me wondering. My friend and I were talking and he said that masturabtion is a sin unless you ejaculate? Is that true? Can you "touch your self", not ejaculate, and still have a clean slate? He said it isnt because in the end your not really pleasing yourself, or causing lust.

Why is it that we consider most of the cultures of the world's beliefs "mythological"? Whenever we think or talk about them, one should always remember that most of the cultures of the world are very old, almost ancient. So ancient that they have been in existence long before man even started to record Time! So why is it always that something an ancient civilization, an ancient race of people believed, suddenly becomes mythological because of some supposedly "lack of evidence". For example, Rising From the Dead of Isa Masih(Jesus) is considered a fact because through all the thousands years of time people were successful in saving enough evidence regarding his resurrection. And the ancient Mayan civilization's beliefs, it would have had been considered "Mythological" if it wasn't for some nice enough Spanish missionaries who were sympathetic to them so saved few books of them until they were brought to Europe. So based on I wrote, can my theory be a possibility?

I keep hearing born-again Christians talking about their profound experience feeling the holy spirit enter them. As a Pagan, I have invoked deities, and the feeling that they describe sounds pretty much the same as what I felt, except that for me it's deeply personal, and they just keep talking about it with anyone who will listen. Is there some way in which the invocations are different? Is the belief that they are different based on something other than the arrogant belief that one deity is superior to another deity?

I asked this question before, but all the answers either congratulated me for asking the question, or dismissed it based on their belief that their God is the only real God. No one actually answered the question, so I'm asking again in the hope that someone will actually be able to explain the difference.

I have not read it all as to the fact the Church took chapters out to suite their way of life in that particular time period. Example: the chapter of Lilith? The bible was meant to bring us together, and teach the golden rules... at least that's what I hope and believe.
