No... God did not send Jesus to earth to kill himself. God sent Jesus to earth to preach the word of God. Jesus could have refused to be MURDERED, but He knew that His death would bring new life in the form of Christianity.
And no... I don't think suicide is a sin, but I am not going to get into that with you because something tells me that you don't really care.

Suicide is a sin because your life is not your own but God-given, But Jesus didn't kill himself, Sinful Man killed him. God is omniscient and knew that the people would crucify him becuause of all that he would do on Earth. Jesus was the "ultimate" sacrifice to allow people the choice to be able to get into heaven.

Jesus did not kill Himself. Sinful man crucified Jesus, all under the sovereign control of God. Therefore, Jesus allowed Himself to be killed in order that He might shed His blood for the remission of our sins.
Jesus Himself said, "greater love hath no man than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." What Jesus did was not suicide, it was sacrifice. There is a tremensous difference.....
What parent would not chose to die in place of their own child if given the opportunity? Would you call that person suicidal? No, you would call that love.........
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosover believeth in Him, should not perish but have eternal life. God did not kill His Son, He GAVE His Son over to sinful man as a ransom for all of humanity.

Jesus is the son of god proof- "Father why have you forsaken me." and "My Father is greater than I." Thinking Christ is God Himself is another great misunderstanding. He never said he was God. He didn't die for our sins. He never said that. He lived a life to show us how to live He said " now Go and sin no more." He takes away past sin and when one knows the truth they are to follow his teachings strictly. Otherwise they will get the reaction like everyone else. Worse because they are more responsible because they know the truth. For the original teachings of Christ before king Constantine changed so many things. google gospelofthenazirenes.co Yesuah (Jesus) taught Karma, Reincarnation, Vegetarianism, and no one goes to hell eternally.

I don't know if this is an honest question but I do find it very amusing because technically, it's true. On the other hand, don't think of it as suicide, think of it more like sacrifice. Although now that I think about it, that doesn't sound much better.

Murder is also a sin, and god did a whole lotta murderin'. God doesn't live up to the same standards as people because the church says so.

A sin is a mistake and if we don't make mistakes how else do we learn ?
However with every action has a reaction and then we have to face the consequence be it good or bad : )

The whole thing's flawed my friend.
Suicide is not a sin - who am I to tell another person whether or not to kill themselves, none of my f*cking business.
