Yes, God the Father and God the Son are the same god, but really, as God, Jesus couldn't die. Only the body that he took on when he came to earth could die. And in suffering and dying in His earthly form, He saved Christians from every generation. That's not suicide, that's a sacrifice worthy of extraordinary praise.

From a common Christian standpoint, Jesus and God are the same. So, coming to Earth with the intent of dying could, sort of, be construed as suicide, but technically its not.
For it to be suicide, you really have to kill yourself. Simply putting yourself in a deadly situation isn't suicide, although it will probably produce the same result.
Its pretty much the same as if Bush decided to take an unguarded stroll around Baghdad. He wouldn't technically be committing suicide, but he would be killed, (probably rather brutally - by an incredibly huge mob...)

Well, it depends on who you are asking the question to. I'll tell you in Muslim point of view:
God and Jesus are two different entities. God is God, whereas Jesus is a prophet.
And yes, suicide is a sin...it's one of the biggest sins. There's no way out for suicides.

I think it is. God sent Jesus to die so we could have better lives and afterlives and have a close relationship with him and he did it to save us all. He layed down his life for a good cause. God means for us all to keep living no matter how hard life gets as long as he keeps giving us our next breath. When a person commits suicide they may feel they are doing a good thing but our lives don't belong to us and God has things for us to do here.

Its pretty much the same as murder...so id say yes. God sent a form of himself to earth and man killed him...not God.

I don't believe in sins, they are simply judgments based on a book. Jesus is the son of God, not God.

A sin is a mistake and if we don't make mistakes how else do we learn ?
However with every action has a reaction and then we have to face the consequence be it good or bad : )

It was mans decision on what they did to him, it was never planned, thats why he said that they should forgive them becasue they had no idea what they were doing.
