In what way does the Taliban not represent Islam?

They are heavily supported by the islamic governments of Parkistan and Saudi Arabia. They follow the Sunnah and recite from the Koran literally 100%. They instill the laws of Allah through the Sharia.

Can give more details as to why? Any of their actions or policy contradict the Koran? The Sahih Hadiths? Which of their laws are not islamic and how so? What are their practices according to the Koran are unislamic?

"fundamentalist bible thumping evangelists" certainly do not behead people while reciting the bible. They do give you headaches though by their constant preaching.

Wife beating is okay. The Koran does not say lightly. Here is the actual phrase.

Qur'an 4:34

Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.

In no way at all do they represent what Islam stands for. They are a radical group who make their own laws. They are just like the Westboro Baptist church, who cite the bible as their basis for hatred and intolerance.

are they supported, you have reciepts? paper trails? or you just getting this info from the people that brought you such claims as " evidence in the form of a mushroom cloud " " yellow cake " or " saddam has wmd " some of what they do is made up by them, they don't represent Islam, but they perhaps represent the only group of people willing to stand up to the occupiers and fight back.

here is just one so far...THEY BEAT WOMEN...beat them until they fall...the Holy Quraan says to beat them LIGHTLY...like a tap on the arm...something to let them think about what they did...like if a woman cheat on her husband...he "beat" her lightly with a tiny little stick...no bigger than a pencil or her punish her by not sleeping with her and leaves her in her bed to think of what she did...ok AND the Holy Quraan also says that killing is FORBIDDEN, so it doesn't seem to me as though they follow the Holy Quraan 100% and BY NO MEAN ARE THEY FOLLOWING THE SUNNAH OF THE RASULLU {SAW}. THE RASULLU, {SAW} NEVER EVER HIT HIS WIVES. NOT THE WAY MODERN SOCIETY HAS TWISTED HIS TEACHINGS!
