This is what I asked about -
"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then where has evil come from? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? "

These answers have nothing to do with the question. These are some of the lame things written back;

God is able to prevent evil but then that would destroy our free agency which is the entire reason we came to earth in the first place.

Why are you so affraid of a God that you don't believe exists.
(This one is right on the money - LOL)

I hope you see the light. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
(Is this a cover-all answer?)

"Then why call him God?" ... Because that's who He is.
(OK, I'll call him Bro)

If a person really thinks they can sit in judgment on God, I find that rather astonishing. (Isn't this judging?)

Because that's who He is. "Gods ways are not our ways"

Why havent humans changed in like forever if we evolved.
You evolve into your enviorment like longer eyelashes for the desert etc.. Why havent we evolved into super-humans by now? God created evolution thats why.

If we came from apes to humans why did we stop at humans.

Galileo.

A man that had right ideas about the earth revolving around the Sun but his beliefs clashed with what was said in the Bible.
In the Bible it states that the earth does not move and then it was believed that the planet earth was actually in the centre of our solar system.
So the bible is wrong, Galileo proved it, an amazing advancement in science and astronomy, and does he get a prize for this? no, he gets imprisoned by the Catholic church.

So what do modern day Christians think of this? the man has new FACTS that showed that something in the bible was false, he rpesented these facts, and was just imprisioned.
How is that fair?
What kind of religion is that?

Bible:

Psalm 93:1, Psalm 96:10, and Chronicles 16:30 state that "the world is firmly established, it cannot be moved." Psalm 104:5 says, "[the LORD] set the earth on its foundations; it can never be moved." Ecclesiastes 1:5 states that "the sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises."

If the word jihad means inner struggle as I have been told in school and by others, then why are the disabled and elderly exempt from jihad as stated in the Qur'an? This leads me to believe that jihad's real meaning is holy war or else why would the elderly and disabled be exempt from an inner struggle to better oneself? Also the word jihad is mentioned over 200 times in reference to the words of Muhammad and each one is a clear connotation to holy war. I don't know, maybe I'm just not knowledgeable enough to analyze the beliefs of those who follow Islam.

I once heard a young Mormon man saying that Mormons had received extra knowledge about Easter (presumably from their prophets), and that Easter did not fall in the springtime at all. Another Mormon nervously interrupted him and told him to be quiet, saying that people were not "ready" for the information.

Another time, I thought I heard a Mormon mentioning to a bunch of other Mormons that it was Easter Sunday. The strange thing is, the month was October, and the day was cold and windy. WEIRD!!! Halloween was on its way.

Has anybody else heard this possible "secret"?

(Note that Easter always corresponds with Jewish Passover, described as a springtime celebration commemorating the liberation of the Jews from slavery in Egypt.)

If such a thing happened as the bible states, why don't we see more talking animals? You would think that if this god fellow wanted people to believe the talking snake story, he might want to show us some more talking animals. Heck, for that matter he might just want to show us just one miracle. Not the kind of parlor tricks that gullible believers think are miracles.

4 - I find myself believing in God some of the time but not at others.
5 - While I have doubts, I feel that I do believe in God.

And,

Do You believe in life after death?

1 - Yes, definitely
2 - Yes, probably

I don't know about the male Atheists, but I would prefer not to known as a "Hard Core" anything, but I would answer 1 and 4 without hesitation.

This is very strange, since Sarah was also Abraham's half-sister. If that is the case, what does that make Isaac? Is he superior to Ishmael because he (Isaac) was born to a woman in her old age, and Ishmael was not? Neither woman was superior to the other.

Besides, what woman in her right mind would permit her husband to have an adulterous relationship just to preserve his seed? How is that showing respect? How could Abraham just lie down with a woman he wasn't married to? Was he that desperate? How could he just dishonor her by not marrying her?

Neither Ishmael nor Isaac had any control over whom their mothers would be. Only Almighty God had control over that.
Sarah could have been the mother of all of Abraham's children during her childbearing years, but she wasn't. If she was childless during her childbearing years, it was by Divine Decree. If Isaac was meant to be the first-born, that would have already happened.
