“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:” -------- Rev 22:18

“And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book”. ---- Rev 22:19

This is a severe warning to the Israelites to not change the revelations because the Bible is not guaranteed to be free from human corruption/changes.

If the Bible was to be protected from change by divine decree then this warning would not be needed.

That is why both the Old and New Testament and the Torah have gone through translations/new editions and other changes.

This doesn’t mean the Bible is not scripture…. It just means that not every word is guaranteed by God to be exactly what was revealed in the original form.

Many people had been asked how they get thumbs down almost for nothing...can you see the "muslim" state of mind? the "peaceful" "full of love" religion attitude that have them in war in 9 of his countries at the moment?
Or is smart to put thumbs down just based in "religion", what it is the "intelligence" in this, cause I really don't get it...

He who takes this child as his own will be greatest, should there be greater tact to educate so that we can be educated in the same degree when we are unaware of the full depths of scripture?.

Christs struggle with the tax collecters is that if you take away their heaven they will be left in a world of unfullfilling longing, where releasing built up frustrations and a cash transaction for the benefit of the treasury is their only reward.

Was it Eve, Adam, Satan or God?

I say it was God's fault for putting the Tree of Knowledge in the Garden in the first place. What do you say?

Despite having no evidence that God is real, people still continue to believe. I can't see why. It's hard to believe some man in the sky lives in a magical place and controls everything that goes on. It's easier to believe God doesn't exist. And "it's called faith" and "look in the Bible" are crappy pieces of evidence. The Bible is nothing more than a fairy tale book to me. It's stories are so far fetched and very hard to believe. It doesn't have any historical documentation in it. All it is is historical myths. I don't listen to any Christians on my questions because I get crappy answers like "God is in you" and that "you are breathing because of God." Sorry, but that's not convincing me there is a God.

God will only unite Mankind on Monotheism.

Everything other than pure Monotheism will create chaos and confusion just as the very concept of the Triune God creates confusion.

‘Christ according to the faith, is the second person in the Trinity, the Father being the first and the holy Ghost the third. Each of these three persons is God. Christ is his own father and his own son. The Holy Ghost is neither father nor son, but both. The son was begotten by the father, but existed before he was begotten--just the same before as after. Christ is just as old as his father, and the father is just as young as his son. The Holy Ghost proceeded from the Father and Son, but was an equal to the Father and Son before he proceeded, that is to say before he existed, but he is of the same age as the other two. Nothing ever was, nothing ever can be more perfectly idiotic and absurd than the dogma of the Trinity.’----- Col. Robert G. Ingersoll

One god sends another down to earth. The god on earth prays to the god in heaven. The god in heaven is pleased with the god on earth. The god on earth says that the god in heaven is greater than he (the god on earth). The god on earth says he will later send a third god down to earth. The god in heaven forsakes the god on earth. The god on earth dies and goes to the god in heaven and sits by his side. That is polytheism for sure, one hundred percent. You can call it whatever you want, but it’s polytheism pure & simple.

God is not the author of confusion (I Cor. 14:33)

One of the 10 is "don't kill"

But the Koran says "don't kill, unless you have a good reason"

[17.33] And do not kill any one whom Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause...

Who decides what a "just cause" is? The imams? The killer?

On the Richard Dawkins.net web page a clergyman was quoted as saying that God's action concerning Jesus, Creating him to then suffer and die, hurting someone else to forgive us our sins is psychopathic.

No sin will enter Heaven! Jesus forgives you of your sins! But u have to mean it and live for Him! Sins will only enter hell. No sin of any kind will enter the Kingdom of Heaven! Jesus is the way to Heaven! Jesus loves you and He saves! Praying for the lost!

Biblical literalists often criticize Catholics for following traditions that are not in the Bible (such as veneration of saints). When it comes to the four words "This is my Body," though, most Biblical literalists DON'T take that part literally -- that is, they don't believe in transubstantiation. I don't understand this inconsistency. Can anyone explain it to me?

I am an Atheist and have fun bullying believers around because when I ask constantly for historical proof God exists, the only answers I get are "read the Bible" or "it's called faith." These are not good pieces of historical evidence. I will keep asking this for the rest of my life until I get decent answers. Nothing about the Bible has been proved factual and faith is not evidence God exists. And I have gotten many answers that say how Biblical prophecies have come true, but the ones that have come true said, "kids will rebel against their parents" or "future leaders will be killed." Well, obviously those will come true. Hey, I can make two predictions that will come true.

Prediction #1- There will be future wars.
Prediction #2- Crazy leaders will arise in the future.

And somehow the fact that Jesus COULD have lived means that God exists. I mean, historians are having a hard time proving Jesus ever existed because all the documents about him were in fairytalebooks like the Bible.

I know eventually I am going to die, but its not death that scares me. It is what happens after death. After I die, am I just gone? I cannot stand that feeling of not having a conscience or not being there. If we humans were created to live and then die, what is our purpose?

Nowadays with so many religious programming on television and Streaming Faith videos on the internet, a person can watch church and hear an inspiring message without leaving the comfort of their living room. I still get just as much inspiration from doing this as I do going to church, but I still feel I am disobeying God when I don't go to church.

So based on what people (Chrstians) have answered and from personal experience (Islam) here is what prayer is used for (in no particular orer):
1. to ask for blessings and/or help
2. our need for a spiritual bonding with God/to attain a closer relationship with Him
3. forgiveness of sins

So that being said - it sounds like the reasons for prayer are pretty standard in the Christian and Muslim faiths. As I continue to research for a simple logical answer to my previous questions, I thank you all for helping me try to understand the logic behind this.

What is the Catholic and other Christian stance on neutering animals? What about right to life, and going forth and multiplying?

I understand there are many dogs and cats dying in shelters, but is that justification for animal mutilation?
