If the story was true God will have to take all responsibility...and he did (according to the by-bill) Gen-6:6,7.

The tree is besides the point.
Disobedience is disobedience.. when it comes down to it God gave Adam and Eve everything and they wanted more its called greed. So even if Satan lured Eve into taking the fruit, the bottom line was Adam was older so he should have known better. I vote Adam, because Jesus had to do the sacrifice for Adam, since he was only human and could never make up for what he had done to God on his own.

satan took advantage of the newly created woman and decieved her.
is YHWH not allowed to ask for one thing?
to abstain from one lousy tree when they had eternal life in a paradise garden!?!
what religion is teaching the un-Scriptural lie that original sin had to do with sex?!?
YHWH commanded Adam & Eve to "be fruitful and become many and fill the earth" before they sinned ! ! !
please read your Bible and stop believeing charismatic charlatains people!!! Genesis 1:28
satan has the normal powers of a normal angel but his greatest power is deception. He decieved Eve into thinking she had an immortal soul and would "not die but would be like God". Most of the world's religions still believe in satan's original lie. You will find very few religions that believe YHWH who gave Solomon the wisdom to write Ecclesiastes 3:19, 20 & 9:5, and David to write Psalm 146:4 and Moses to record what YHWH told Adam at Genesis 3:19 telling us exactly what happens to us when we die. And when is the resurrection of those who are asleep in death?
Yhshua tells us at John 5:28, 29; John 11:11
And before that Daniel was told by YHWH to write Daniel 12:2. All these Scriptures expose satan's first deception that "you will not die" (Genesis 3:4) as the lie that it is!
Mankind, by believing satan's lie and turning away from YHWH has given satan the authority over all the kingdoms/governments of the earth. The Bible is clear on this issue. Please read the following Scriptures:
Luke 4:5, 6
1 John 5:19
John 14:30
John 16:11
Ephesians 2:2
2 Corinthians 4:4
Daniel 2:44
James 4:4
John 15:19
Acts 5:29
1 John 2:15
Romans 12:2
Daniel 2:44
but satan's rule over mankind is about to be brought to an end and that's why things are so bad in his world right now. please read Revelation 12:7-12
agape!

This is a GREAT question. It was man's fault, BUT it had to happen and was part of God's plan. When Adam and Eve were in Eden they could not bear children but God's plan was to place all the souls in heaven onto the earth so they could be tested and strengthened. So with that in mind, God's plan meant that, either at a time of His choosing or due to their actions, the setup was to change. We cannot know what God might've done if the fall of man had not occurred but it would SEEM that the fall is part of his divine plan. Much like the crucifixition of Jesus, it did not HAVE to happen but was foreordained that, through free will, it would happen. You could make the argument that God made it happen but it seems to me that, much like Judas' actions, a man did the work of God through commission of an evil which he could've chosen not to.
On another note: Nothing is ever Satan's fault, Satan can only work through man. If a man chooses to do his work, it is his choice and his sin. Although traveling by plane around the holidays does make me wonder if I might be wrong.

In the end all three were cursed, Adam and Eve for being disobedient, the serpent for deception. So ll three were guilty, but Adam suffered the largest punishment because he was already created in Gods image. What was the need of touching that tree when they had dominion over everything else?
Here's and example
If you had a child and you told him not to do something, then his girlfriend (with help of an evil friend you didn't like) convinces him to do it anyway who would receive the greatest punishment? It would be your son, because he was created in your image.

It's definitely not God. Why do we keep getting these blasphemous, most stupid questions? Is anyone paying attention? When you don't have accurate knowledge, esp. when you have to question a forum such as this, keep your mouth shut as not to further taint the weak and evil minds anymore.
Man was made in his own free will; no, God didn't make us like robots, then you really would have a reason to complain.
When Eve was deceived by the devil, the resister, the inventor of the lie, she gave to Adam, and Adam could have taken her before God and though he loved Eve very much, he would have given her up to his heavenly Father, but no, instead he disobeyed God also. He even had the nerve to tell God after he sinned, "Well, it was the woman, the woman YOU made for me that caused me to do it", as if he was now blaming God, just like you newdude -- you pose this question without accurate knowledge and then you turn around and blame God without accurate knowledge still!
No, Adam could have brought Eve before God, but he chose to eat along with her and disobey God. As a result we all inherit sin and die because of their intentional mistake. We have a chance to redeem ourselves and attain what we never had, everlasting life in a paradise world, but Adam and Eve do not.
Just think, if Adam would have brought Eve before God instead of taking her along and trying to hide their nakedness and put on twigs and leaves to clothe themselves, God would have probably made Adam a whole new wife, a whole new woman and destroyed Eve. Things would be much different for us now, but no....two wrong costs us and Jesus came and gave back what Adam took from us; Life.
So when you want to throw blame remember this:
James 1: 12 - 15
Happy is the man that keeps on enduring trial, because on becoming approved he will receive the crown of life, which Jehovah promised to those who continue loving him. When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death.
No! With Bad Things---GOD CANNOT BE TRIED OR BLAMED. PUT THE BLAME WHERE IT BELONGS; MANKIND AND OF COURSE, SATAN. Stop blaming the one who created all of what is good for you. Use your brain, not your behind.

God was not the one who told Adam and Eve that if the ate the fruit they would have the same knowledge as God and therefore Be God...that was the fallen angel Lucifer...according to the Jews and their Prophets and Jesus and Mohammad. Guess what it was a scam. It's the very scam being perpetrated on people today in a million ways...People actually BELIEVE that with infinite knowledge they can be God.
"If we can manipulate the genes of plants to make them grow better and be insect resistant ...we should". "If we can figure out how to take this worthless black goo out of the ground and run the world on it...why not do it?". Or NOT!
Wake up you Morons...Only God is God!

Satan for lying when he knew the truth and Adam and Eve were simple trusting souls. God has some responsibility and here is my theory about that.
God is responsible for the results of our poor choice IN PART because He created humans in His own image with power to create and with free will, and also because he must have know what would happen.
When someone does an act of evil if their victim will turn the situation over to God, God will in His mercy and because of His part in creation, will step in and bring something good out of the evil. To that extent God will help to dissipate some of the evil in the world. But He can not take all of it away. The rest is up to us.

adam and eve's fault. God gave them free will and also gave them specific instructions of what not to do. the devil's temptation is a test that adam and eve failed. God trusted them to listen to what He said, but they didnt.
To put the whole "I say it was God's fault for putting the Tree of Knowledge in the Garden in the first place" in perspective, it's like if i implant a bomb in your heart and give you a shiny red button that triggers the bomb. i tell you not to press it of you'll explode. you have the free will to either obey what i said or disobey. you are responsible for what can happen to you. i may have put the bomb there, but maybe its because i care for you and want you to think about the consequence of all the things you do.

It was God's fault to be loving enough to give us freedom of choice? no
We can't blame satan either because he can't make a move on us without approval from God (see the story of Job)
Man was to blame. Adam/Eve chose evil over what God wanted for them, which we still do today.

God gave them all the trees but one, seems like that's more than fair. Adam being in charge gets the blame but eve shares it and as for Satan, he already had fallen and was guilty for bringing the temptation
