The same as in real life the Muslims here, of course, not all, only the majority want you to speak only about who Holly is Koran and etc, etc...if you get out of that you collect an amazing amount of insults, thumbs down, black mail and so on...the same as in real life they just want to force you even to adapt your questions are your topics, you get reported for the most stupid reasons ever, this counter productive situation, as in real life, far from "convert us" make us more aware of our own faith, freedom and society and understand much more the risks of the Islamics that are only aware of their right to use them and abuse them but have no idea whatsoever about their obligation, asking primarily for a tolerance they methodically destroy and abuse every single day at any instance in our countries...

What I have seen here is that everyone is using the thumbs for the wrong purpose. But YA has not taught us correctly. Atheist thumbs down all the Christians, Christians thumbs down each other, and I thing that the Muslims are the worse offenders. They turn people in for speaking the truth and yes they thumbs down for the same thing. And yes, I do see it as an act of aggression. If someone answers a question correctly and in a kind way and get a lot of thumbs down just because someone doesn't agree, that is wrong. But in part it is YA fault, because we have not been properly trained as what the thumbs are for. I discovered it be accident by looking on the blog.

Any time I express my opinion of religion I get thumbs down. Some people are afraid of others' opinions. But not all or just the Muslims!

I'm not getting how that question had anything to do with Muslims. It was asking Christians if they saw getting a thumbs down as "persecution".
There is no intelligence to the whole thumbs up/thumbs down thing. Yahoo should have realized that people are going to rate according to their own prejudices.
I generally give a thumbs down only to answers that take up most of my screen, if only to clear them out of the way. Doesn't matter if the person who posted it was Christian, Muslim, atheist, or whatever. My personal "prejudice" is long, drawn out cut'n'paste answers.
Yeeeeesh!

What does that question about thumbs down have to do with muslims, Maybe I don't fully understand you, please splain your question a bit more.
The nine countries at war are at war because of politics, not because of religion. The U.S. is at war, does that mean that, even though most Americans profess peace and love, we are hippocritical liers and only want to burden the world with war and death? Certainly not. Islam isn't the reason those people are at war, and yes, they may have leaders who profess that they are muslims and call for the deaths of many people, but then again, Hitler was a a self proclaimed Christian and he did the same thing.

Well, I give thumbs down for disrespectful answers, usually. People just expressing opinions is another thing, and I like to know what other people think ... provided they give me the same respect. Most of the Muslims on here are very respectful, BTW. So yes, I care about their opinions.

IMHO, it really doesn't matter. It is a slap in the face of all the families of the non-Muslims who died in the 9-11 attack to build a Mosque that close ot the site. It is a shame the sponsors of the mosque do not have the same sensitivity they demand from Christians, Jews, Buddhists, etc. Of course we all know how willing the Muslims are to accept other faiths.

Do you want them to mark it as agreeing with you even though they don't?
As for myself if I disagree with it but it is reasonable then I will not give it an up or down. If it is dumb, insulting or antagonistic then I will thumbs down it. If I agree or find it well thought I will give it a thumbs up. If it is really insulting, racist etc. then I flag it!
Jesus said to do onto others "as you would have them do onto you"... not as they do onto you but as you would like them to and I TRY (emphasis on TRY... and not always succeeding too :( )to follow that.
