Every Muslim is an individual and each has their own opinion, so I cannot answer this for Muslims as a whole. My husband is Muslim and is sad at how bad morals and family values are in many parts of the world and how money controls things in many countries. He is also terribly sad to see how fanatics have used his religion to commit atrocities against so many people all over the world. They are not practicing Islam at it should be practiced and Islam does not condone their actions.

In the name of Allah the most Gracious the most merciful
A Muslim by name would look , think and act on the wordly
matters jusr like any orther normal human being. But a Muslim
who practices islam From the Holy Quran and the teachings
of our beloved Prophet Muhammad , [saws]has an altogether
different concept of this world.
A true Muslim believes that this world is the creation of The
one and only God who is almighty Allah. The world and all the
creation has been created for the benifit of man and for a
purpose therefore one appreciates all that the eye can see
and glorifies the Creator.
A true Muslim is not confused about his role in life as he has
been guided by the commands of Allah the almighty in the
holy quran and by the life of the prophet muhammad [pbuh]
who is the best example of humanity to us.Allah the almighty
has informed us in the glorious Quran that He the almighty
has Created the Jinn[unseen beings] and mankind only to
worship Him.Meaning to worship the one God almighty and
worship him by following all his commands By doing all the
good and avoiding all evil so that we can be part of the
mainstream, yet we have our identity.
A true Muslim knows that this life is one of deception and does not get allured by the glitter of this world, But rather he
enjoys all the blessings of God almighty in a moderate way.He is taught that this life is like a rider in the desert who
has stopped under the shade of a tree to rest for a while then
he proceedes to his ultimate destination. similarly we are on a journey which is the next life that will be eternal. This world
will also perish one day and we will all be ressurected again
to stand before our creator to give account of what we did in
this world.
We therefoer wish to be in a state of peace with our Creator with our selves and with society by worshipping the one and
only God almighty and following his last and final messenger
Muhammad [ pbuh].This is the only way for the world to be a
peaceful world.

Muslims see this world as Gods Creation, and it is beautiful. Of course, Muslims need to stay away from the evil things in this world such as our society now a days. They are disappointed that there are people who mistreat them because of a mistake of a few people. Like Terry said, I cant say this statement for all Muslims. But that is how i see this world. And all it is a Test for whether or not we will go to Heaven or Hell.

As some people said already, I look at the world as another one of Allah's (swt) signs. The world's inhabitants are just amazing, praise be to Almighty Allah. Although there are many sick people out there doing sick things, as long as we are doing what we can to avoid doing wrong in this world, we will inshaAllah be okay.

u r asking question in a suggestive way! which is wrong.
Islam doesn't ask & permit anyone to perpetrate "voilence" on others,
it is some fanatics who think - they r incharge of rest of the Islamic followers; who r having RIGHTS to give direction to their followers and as well WARN other faiths - of dire consequences; if their "LIMITED" understanding of the Islam is not carried out FULLY.
"LIMITED" - since they won't even entertain any open discussions!
so, u should be Open hearted and Patient , when u meet any one , including a Muslim;
he is like any other Person;
many-ques!!!
