The person you are in Y!A R&S. . . is this really who you are out in the real world? or do you take the liberties with the annonymity of the internet and be as radical and over-the-top as possible?

I have seen some very disrespectfull comments coming from both sides of the spectrum. Atheists calling Christians ignorant and uneducated, and Christians telling everyone who isn't a Christian they are going to hell. I won't even go into the ignorance on both sides when it comes to the misrepresentation of the Catholic Church.

So, my question is: "Is this how you interact with people on the street?"

For instance..i go to Church, my hubby does not but he believes. Would he go? I am just a curious person and not a religious nut so please no stupid answers!

I am not a mormon (which i consider a false faith anyway) or anything like that, but I think polygamy (one man with more than one wife) should be more accepted, given that the first wife is consenting of course.

There are various biblical evidences of this, you can see them at sites like biblicalpolygamy.com. Biologically it makes sense, since 1 man (who produces millions of sperm a second) can have unlimited amounts of children, while women (who can only carry one child at a time for 9 months) can produce very very few by comparison.

A man who thinks like this today would be considered a pig, however today it women who take multiple partners, even with their significant other's watching them in coitus with another person, are considered "liberated". This is not natural, nor does it go according to God's plan, biblically put, it is adultery.

Like I said, it's in the bible, and if the wife is consenting, there is no problem whatsoever scripturally.

Okay when Sarai gave Abraham the instruction to take Hagar and bear a child with her, he did (Ishmael). Then Sarai dealt harshly with Hagar and she runs off then the an angel appears to her and instructs her to go back, tells her she is pregnant and also tells her that her unborn child (Ishmael) would be wild and a uneasy man:

Genesis 16:12
And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

I guess that meant he would be restless, warring or whatever.
Then after Sarai has Isaac, she banishes hagar and Ishmael.
But God took care of them and said he would make a GREAT nation out of Ishmael

Genesis 21-18
Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

I take is that this nation is the Islamic nation.

If God made a great nation out of him, wouldn't this also be a religion of GODS since God Planned it to be that way?

it is all confusing

My dog's name is King and I thought it was fun to rename him Buddy Christ (from Dogma.) Anyways, my husband and I have been calling him Buddy Christos. It would be much more fun to tell people his name is Christ the King, but in Spanish.

Is it Rey el Christo or Christo el Rey?

If you wish you can state your own affiliation, just to satisfy my
morbid curiousity.
If you consider someone, some group, some other faith, or
anything else as the greatest threat to your values or beliefs.
Right here in the USA.
I would still be curious to hear.

Please no hatefilled rants and raves please, and no pastings of documents the size of half the NY telephone directory, I'm
not gonna read all that anyway.

God has always been faithful and I dont worry nearly as much as I used to thank God. But I have been a little bit down and depressed and I feel sad about this because my needs are met and others have it much worse.

In 3 months all my brothers and sisters have been going through heavy trials really intense things, I moved very far from home, My job transfer did not work out the way I thought it would I friend of my husband and I from our past committed suicide, my dear friend was in a horrific car accident, she is OK thank God and unemployemnt is giving me a hard time about infromation that was falesly stated about my case, there fore I have not had income in almost 2 months and I am NOT asking for money I dont beleive in that because God is providing despite this all and my husband is working and finding a job is easier said than done. How can I rejoice and be glad in spite of everything?

Is it normal to feel discouraged as a Christian?

How much do you love yourself, not this flesh but your soul? Many advertisements constantly remind us saying"You are worth it" or you deserve this. Many people respond to these ads we know this because they keeps putting them out. Why then when the bible says we are not worth anything but offers so much more then this earth has is there little response?

we were both pleasant and had a good talk, but i noticed he seemed somewhat anal and had a hard time taking anything i said at face value even when my statements were blunt and simple. this made me very curious, so the last couple of days i have visited many psychology and OCD discussion rooms or support groups. of the 38 OCD sufferers i was able to speak with, 33 of them had no spiritual beliefs, what does this tend to suggest??

My husband asked me a question today and I answered him in a flat disinstrested and tired down and he said Why are you always so down lately? What are godly ways to be filled with the joy and passion of the Lord? I am gratful to God for so many things, I just have been through a lot lately. I want God to get the glory, it has just been hard lately? I know I am not the only one, I just thought I would ask this question being it was on my mind.

Genesis 1:24 pretty much rules out the idea of evolution, doesn't it? Is it OK to question the very foundation of Gods word?
Can we replace the infallable word of God with the fallable word of mankind?

I ask prayer for the things I need from God but even more importantly that God would reveal to me His pupose and plan for my life. I pray also for healing and restoration and for the like I said before things I need so I can be an empowered woman of God not only to better myself but to help and encourage others. One last question what may I pray for you for? Peace be with you.

I just come out of a bad depression and I am doing better little by little but I want to be passionate about God and Life and the things that I love to do. What are good ways to become and empowered woman of God and what are ways that I can find my passion in life? Life is too short to be miserable and unhappy.
