1 Thessalonians 4:13-17: "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Most of humanity will remain behind on earth. Most Evangelicals believe that this will include: The 67% of the world's population that are non-Christian, and
A majority of persons who consider themselves Christians but who have never been saved.
Only about 35% of American adults consider themselves to have been saved.

Most of what you will read about the end times are pre-millennial views: the view that Christ's return will usher in a future millennium of Messianic rule mentioned in the book of Revelation before the final judgment. The believers of this doctrine also hold to the notion of a Rapture of the righteous beforehand.
Then there are mixtures involving the views of the seven year tribulation and whether it is happening now, occurs later, etc.
1. Amillennialists believe that God's promises regarding the end times are figurative and will not be literally fulfilled, particularly the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ on the earth.
2. Pre-millennialists believe that Jesus Christ will return to the earth prior to His literal reign on the earth for 1000 years. Three groups of pre-millennialists include the following:
3. Post-tribulationists believe that the rapture will not occur until the end of the seven year tribulation, just prior to the beginning of the millennial kingdom.
4. Mid-tribulationists believe that the rapture will occur three and one half years into the tribulation, at beginning of the three and one half year great tribulation.
5. Pre-tribulationists believe that the rapture will occur prior to the seven year tribulation, but not necessarily immediately before the tribulation.
These doctrines all fall under the general heading known as the study of end times, or eschatology.
For explanations of the various eschatological beliefs see: http://www.religioustolerance.org/millenni.htm
In Ezekiel 33, God instructs the watchman to signal the approach of the enemy against His people, warning that the watchman who fails to blow the trumpet of alarm shall be guilty of the blood of the people. I am a Amillennialist of the Reformed tradition. I believe we are currently living in the Millennium and in the Tribulation period. Events described in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 and in most of the book of Revelation have already happened.
The thousand year period of Revelation 20 is not a literal one thousand year period of history during which Christ will establish an earthly kingdom in the world. Instead, amillennialism holds that the thousand year period of Revelation 20 is a figurative description of the entire period from Christ's exaltation until shortly before His second coming.
To me the Antichrist is figurative and not a real person. I believe that the Kingdom of God is today present in the world through the presence of the heavenly reign of Christ, the Bible, the Holy Spirit and Christianity. Both good and evil continues in the world until the current Church Age ends suddenly when Christ returns to the sky above the earth. Then the Rapture immediately occurs. The Redeemed are transported to heaven where they will adopt spiritual bodies. The rest of humanity will be condemned at this time to eternal punishment. The world will be abandoned. History is no more.

When the Rapture takes place, all those who are saved will go to Heaven. Going to church is wonderful, we need to have the word of God and have our souls fed, plus the fellowships is wonderful. However, going to church won't save you and no offense, but even the devil believes in Jesus. The most important question is: is your hubby and you saved? IF yes, then you're on your way to Heaven, if not, there's still time for you to turn your life over to Jesus and ask Him to save you, forgive you of your sins and take you to Heaven. God Bless. Oh and there's nothing wrong with being a religious nut.

I'm sure you are a normal person, but you are not a normal Christian. The idea that there will be a Rapture followed by the seven-year reign of Antichrist is not taught in Scripture, was not taught by the early Church, was not taught by the Reformation, and is currently rejected by over 90% of Christians world-wide. The doctrine was invented in the 1820's, and popularized by John Nelson Darby in attempt to make Dispensationalist theology less self-contradictory.

The rapture will include everyone who is truly a follower of Christ, not just people who claim to be Christians but whose lives show no hint of actually following Him. Anyone can just go to church but not have a real relationship with Christ--I was one of those people for the first 15 years of my life. Check out my testimony and an article about the rapture at the first two links below. I hope they will encourage you. If you or your husband have any questions about any aspect of following Christ, feel free to e-mail me at chad@jesusfreak.com. Have a blessed day.

The term 'christian' no longer has merit. Because so many people who are positively NOT of christ have called themselves a christian. The bible says that because of the widespread teaching of a 'watered down' version of the gospel the true way would be spoken of as being evil. Lukewarmness has settled upon the 'christians' of this day and a love of pleasures rather than a love of God. So, when the Lord returns, shall He find faith upon the Earth? I would suggest finding a church that has alot of services throughout the week. Preaching services. Not this, that, and the other. Preaching of the gospel. And that it has some sort of outreach to the people so that they will come and also receive Christ. It used to be called soulwinning. Now people are too busy with their own agenda. I ask you again. When Christ returns, will He find faith upon this Earth?...

first, there is no rapture. it is not written in any version of any bible since it was first compiled by the council of nicea in 385 ad. that which is called the rapture by so many "preachers" is the figment of a bishop's imagination in the late 1800"s. he was a protestant reformist from the church of england and decided to call it "the rapture" since he had no other phrase to use. if you doubt this, look up "the rapture" in any bible you choose. it will not be in it. look it up as a search for the phrase on google and read what it says. have fun learning how ignorance is a part of religious treaching. religion is nothing but a means of controlling the masses, and allowing a few priviledged individuals to lead them along.

i does not evaluate the two of those to be "modern discoveries," yet somewhat a greater formal description of what Christians have consistently held to be actual. A 4 billion year old earth is actual a fashionable concept, and not something the early Christians could have believed. Rapture is fairly in straightforward terms a greater centred view of something that has consistently been believed, basically in the past in greater obscure words. For the Catholic Church to declare they have consistently believed the earth to be 4 billion years old, or that believers weren't all to be "caught up" at a while is nonsense. they only at the instant found out that combating technological awareness makes them seem stupid, and in straightforward terms dispute Rapture as a political tactic, to seperate themselves from Protestants.

You should be filled with the spirit which is the oil of the spirit, Holy and unblamable in the world of a crooked and perverse generation
Looking for his return and watching
Pray to escape the things that will come on this world
Pray that your husband will go to church with you and receive the infilling of the spirit
