God has always been faithful and I dont worry nearly as much as I used to thank God. But I have been a little bit down and depressed and I feel sad about this because my needs are met and others have it much worse.

In 3 months all my brothers and sisters have been going through heavy trials really intense things, I moved very far from home, My job transfer did not work out the way I thought it would I friend of my husband and I from our past committed suicide, my dear friend was in a horrific car accident, she is OK thank God and unemployemnt is giving me a hard time about infromation that was falesly stated about my case, there fore I have not had income in almost 2 months and I am NOT asking for money I dont beleive in that because God is providing despite this all and my husband is working and finding a job is easier said than done. How can I rejoice and be glad in spite of everything?

Is it normal to feel discouraged as a Christian?

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming...Praying can give you someone to talk to that you know understands...Keep your chin up, we all go through bad periods of time, that's just life....cling to your faith and when the troubles ease and begin to pass so will the feelings of discouragement. Keep trying...Maybe God is trying to point you in a new direction and you just haven't realized it yet....may God Bless you and your family

Actually, as Christians we are not supposed to be discouraged. Because Romans 5: 1 says, "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ". When you have peace with God, depression and discouragement can not enter your door. That chapter in Romans 5 goes on the say, "and hope maketh not ashamed because the Love of God has been shed abroad in our heart". If the Love of God is shed abroad in your heart, it will give you comfort and assurance no matter what you are going through. Sometimes the Lord has to take you to the bottom just to show you He's with you no matter where you go. I went homeless for three years. There came a point where I had to sleep under a bridge with thugs, drug addicts and all walks of life. The smell of urine was so strong. But everytime I would come to that spot, the Holy Spirit would fall on me so powerful. It was like making love to a woman. That happened every night I was there. I was so strengthen that my circumstance seemed like nothing. Each day, all I could think about was going back to that spot. God will give you peace in all situations if you let Him.

There are times in life that we all must have trials. God will not hand us more than he knows we can handle. Even the most holy of Jesus' disciples had heavy burdens and trials. Remember the "Foot prints in the sand" poem... When there was only one set of prints and questioned why God was not there beside when times were the worst ? That is when God will carry you.
Remember that Jesus LOVES and cares for you.... Brighter days are ahead. Keep your faith in his plan and your days will turn from mourning into rejoycing !
May the love of the Lord be with you. May you feel his presence of peace in your life. GOD BLESS ! :)

The Bible says the trials of the righteous are many but God delivers us out of them all.

This trial came to pass not to stay and you will be stronger on the other side and more able to help others dealing with hardship.

Stay in the word that is the most important thing.

This confirms what I thought when I answered your other question...Honey you've been through a hell of a lot lately. Your problems have nothing to do with your religion, your having symptoms of depression. Why don't you get in contact with a good counselor, I'm sure there probably some good Christian based services out there that could help you through this. Good luck!

Your religion is not to ever be questioned! Nor Allah (God)'s wisdom for he knows that which you have no capacity of knowing. To some this would seem as a blessing if this is all there is which have you in question! You are not nor should ever be discouraged. And this too shall pass. Pray through it all!

You ask "how can I rejoice and be glad in spite of everything"

Know He is with you always.

Is it normal to feel discouraged----->of this world! But we can rejoice in what He has done for us and what he has promised us :)

May He greatly Bless you.

Of course it is normal.

I can't walk in your shoes, so pray to Father in Christ's name.

Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Christ's yoke is well padded and the load light, and guess Who you are yoked to, Jesus Christ.

There is one thing I do not want you to read over, and that is "learn of Me".

juz be strong..there will be reward for ur patience in facing the hard time.
