If such a thing happened as the bible states, why don't we see more talking animals? You would think that if this god fellow wanted people to believe the talking snake story, he might want to show us some more talking animals. Heck, for that matter he might just want to show us just one miracle. Not the kind of parlor tricks that gullible believers think are miracles.

I've seen miracles. I've had prayers answered. You haven't because you haven't believed that He could or would. It's not God's fault, and because you haven't experienced Him, does not in any way disprove His existence. I've never met you, but I've seen the evidence that you exist, so I believe you exist. Yet, until today, I had no idea you were alive. (No offense.)
And the "talking snake" was Satan, not some quirk of creation. He wasn't an animal to begin with; he was a fallen angel, disguised as one. He also "masquerades as an angel of light." Like any good liar, he uses whatever is at his disposal to capitalize on a situation and dupe someone. I'm guessing Eve would've been thrown a little offguard by a talking snake; perfect opportunity to compel her to do something she ordinarily would not have done.

God did not make the "talking snake" as you so believe. He made the snake and Satan entered it to speak to Eve. Why does he need to show us any miracles? Faith is believeing without seeing. Look what they did to Jesus even when they saw his miracles. Seeing the miracles would not make you believe , you would just make up some other reason to believe whatever you want. You believe in Jesus because you love him and after you ask him into your heart you see the miracles he performs in your every day life. Try it and see. What do you have to lose??

He has shown us all enough....why show people any more because they will not believe anyway no matter how many things He shows. There will always be those who mock etc..that is the 'talking snake's' plan..oh and he is succeeding in deceiving so many...and that is a shame. But hey, it's their choice.
Look around..and wonder how everything has been made so precisely and works so well..a tree..a human body etc etc etc..the seasons..how the planets all hang in space..then tell us all how there was no designer of these things..tell us how some big bang happened and everything came out of nothing..tell us how the big bange was invented to do all this..
If everyone who wants to mock God etc gave us an alternative that was better to believe in..perhaps then we could all discuss it..however..noone ever has..sorry. You have to offer us something better if you want us to 'consider' dropping our beliefs.....otherwise there is no point..it's all hot air.

Listen to your own thought and then try to tell others you have not heard one talking snake. The snake is symbolic of evil and evil is what you hear in the human consciousness, but God does not make real or true evil because He is infinite good.

they do talk, but not in the wisdom that we understand. Adam and Eve walked with God back then. Remember the donky story, of the angel in the road. Can't remember the scripture sorry. but God said for the donkey to speek.

FROM my understanding of that story ... It wasn't God that made the talking snake .. It was the Devil himself that *morphed* ( to use a modern term) into the snake and THEN tempted EVE .. and of course weak-willed Adam followed suit...

Didn't Satan fall from heaven in the book of Job? He was an angel of God before then.

uhm...that talking snake was in Eden...if you have read the bible you would God took Eden from Earth and it is now in Heaven. The snake was cast out of Eden and sent to Hell. Thats why!
