Why havent humans changed in like forever if we evolved.
You evolve into your enviorment like longer eyelashes for the desert etc.. Why havent we evolved into super-humans by now? God created evolution thats why.

If we came from apes to humans why did we stop at humans.

actaully there is NO such thing as Evolution. God created ALL of us in his own image. and now more and more scientists have now concluded that Evolution isnt real.

That is a stupid question hun. We are evolving, we've been evolving, do you know how many types of humans there have been? Much More than the Homo sapien sapien, ( the wise wise human) Theres many things that we have and dont have that we don't use or need anymore, FOR EXAMPLE, the hair on our body, Its becoming thinner, and smoother, our appendix, once used for bacteria (eating raw foods) no longer in use, Wisdom teeth will have to go soon, We used them in our caveman days because we would lose teeth regularly, and the wisdom teeth would push them back together to narrow the holes, We no longer have a tail, ( evolution from before homo sapien), Not to mention that it takes Thousands of years for evolution to change an animal. One reason we might not be changing as quickly is because we no longer have to adapt to our environment. We do not have to hunt in order to survive, we do not have to acclimate to temperature, we travel all over the world, (not secluded to an island or area,) AND we interbreed with different races. Thats another signal to you, the race thing, Light skin in areas furthest away from the equator, The closer you get, the darker pigment and the more coarse your hair is for protection. Those are signs of evolution.

Humans have changed a great deal in the past few millenia. Our jaws have gotten smaller, and our craniums have grown much, much larger to accommodate our bigger brains, to name just a few of the changes we've undergone.

You have to remember that evolution is a very slow process, usually taking tens of thousands to millions of years to make any noticeable difference. We haven't stopped as you say, we're evolving at basically the same pace we always have. There are no major jumps in evolution, like jumping from a patch of bare skin to an eye. It takes many hundreds of generations on which natural selection acts to produce anything at the level you're referring to.

10,000 years is not forever in the evolutionary process.
We didn't come from apes. We share a common ancestor with them. Why do you people not STUDY evolution before spouting off this kind of tripe?
If God created evolution, then you must agree that your bible is inaccurate. There is no way that evolution took place over a period of 6 days, and please don't use that worn out, idiotic statement that " a day is as a thousand years and a thousand years is a day" thing.. the bible clearly says "and the evening and the morning were the (insert # here) day." It was one revolution of the earth.. a little more than 24 hours as the earth has slowed a bit over time. Days would've been shorter not longer.
PLEASE take some science classes before arguing against evolution.

That's a fair question. People are right to point out that evolution occurs over a long period of time but they are almost certainly wrong to say that we are still evolving. The reason why we aren't likely to evolve any more is that "weak" members of society survive and so their genes are still passed on. This became a reality thanks to the onset of farming 12,000 years ago which meant that we could create a surplus of food. It is simply not the case any more that the "fitest" survive and therefore get to pass on their "favourable" traits.

We have still yet to see any evidence of one species becoming another. Variations in the same species doesn't equate to evolution. For all we know at this stage is that those variations are preprogrammed in the DNA as possible variations. Mixing of DNA may make a new type of dog, but it is still a dog. So, even if a complex single cell organism managed to spontaneously form with perfect parts one time or even a thousand times, it wouldn't account for the wonderful variety of life here on Earth.

We 'stopped' at humans because evolution doesn't happen overnight. For the first few billion years of life, life was unicellular. If you're expecting humans (who, as a distinct species, have existed for around 100,000 years) to evolve into (as you say) 'super-humans,' you're asking too much of evolution.

Lactose tolerance is one change. There is nothing in the theory of evolution that says evolution as to keep progressing. Evolution can stop if a species exploits a niche and no external pressures are exerted on the species to have a need to change.

We didn't stop at humans. Evolution is still taking place, right now. In a million years we'll be more evolved, or super-humans, and we will still be evolving.

Evolution among humans is still occurring. In tropical regions, it's more common to find genetic traits that predispose to sickle-cell disease and thalassemia. This is because these same traits give people resistance against malaria. This evolution occurred after the migration of humans to different parts of the world, because people of northern European descent are less likely to carry these traits.

If you want to see additional limbs or something, evolution is too slow and recorded human history has been too short for something dramatic like that.

Because "forever" is not exactly 3000 years.

Evolution took place over millions and millions of years. We are continuing to evolve. In another 10 millions years who knows what humans will have become.
