If you do, where do you get your information? Do you go to sites sponsored by that religion, or do you visit possible hate sites? Or do you attempt to read unbiased information put out by independent third parties? When I was interested in different religions I actually went to the source, to the people who practice that religion, and let them explain their beliefs and practices to me. Please tell me how you educate yourself about religions other than your own. Thanks.

People who were raised in Christian societies tend to be Christian, people raised in Muslim societies tend to be Muslim, etc. Doesn't this show that a person's faith is not based on that person's intelligent judgment that his chosen faith makes more sense than other religions, but is simply due to the chance circumstances of where and by whom he was born and raised? Doesn't this show the silliness of religious belief?

you mean to tell me that although there have been literally hundreds of people who claim to have seen elvis alive after he died, he is dead? but this doesn't make sense. people don't lie about seeing dead people, do they? especially hundreds of people scattered throughout the country, why would they do that? is the human mind even capable of convincing people of seeing what they want to see? sounds foolish if you ask me. elvis must be alive!!!

1 Cor. 15:29 Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

If someone believes baptism is essential for salvation, why would they not want to do vicarious baptisms for those who might not have had the chance to hear and accept the gospel of Jesus Christ? Are those people who died in ignorance just SOOL when it comes to salvation? They can't be saved without Jesus Christ. But if they die without even knowing they can be saved, why would God be so cruel as to ban them to everlasting hellfire?

I just don't get it! How could you be so cruel?

Does it actually say in the bible not to? Also wouldn't this be a case of selective practice? What other religions ban premarital sex?

Why do they only take examples from groups that are either very obscure, outdated (ie. Motely Crue), or exclusively heavy metal? (I don't enjoy heavy metal). Is it that they can't find examples among mainstream music or other genres of rock and pop? And they still talk about backwards masking, which was discredited in the '80s?? Does anyone still take any of that seriously?

Do you all believe that Rome was set on fire by radical christian extremists the way the official sources had us believe, or do you believe the conspiracy theory that it was an inside job exectuted by Nero or on order of Nero, to frame the growing christian community with the crime ?

People all the time say that atheists like myself have no proof that God exists, well, where is the proof that God exists, I don't see any, the Bible isn't any proof, it's a book. No one can lie when I say more Christians are brainwashed people who have no sense of reality. They act like their whole lives depend on what some fictional entity thinks. I believe in what Anton LaVey says, he says that you are your own god and you decide your own fate, not some book, or some higher power. I also believe religion is brainwash, in some cultures, from the day that you are born, you are pampered with learning religion especially in the Christian religion, being an Atheist is such an easy path, you live your life to the fullest, you don't worry about hell which is also a creation to scare non believers,

Honestly, I would like to think there's a heaven and one day I can live in some kind of eternal hapiness, but I don't believe giving my life to something that has no proof is right? Show me.

Evolution is fine for those who believe only in science. But a christian who believes that the grace of God brought forth life on this earth seems like a bit of a bigot when he embraces the man made concept that science cooked up for our existence, don't you think?

The bible talks nothing about an evolutionary chain of events, it does however say that God made a man then he made a woman, and fossils...if you choose to use them, point to only a perfect species existing. Not half breeds.

IF evolution did exist then why did God command Adam to multiply and replenish the earth since man obviously had been doing that from the start through evolution?

IF evolution did exist, then why didn't some of the other forms gain the same intelligence that WE possess?

Are we aliens to this planet?
Why did not ONE SINGLE other species gain intelligence besides US

BECAUSE....

God put us here to rule over this earth and subdue it. We are NOT here by chance.

..... if they don't believe in God or Jesus? And why do Christians say "lucky me"? I'm a Christian and I don't believe in luck? Some of my friends who are atheist say Oh My God, and it's not right. THey don't even believe in Him and they are using his name in vain. It just weirds me out.

POINT MADE (from a question of someone's that I read)
You don't have to be religious to go to Heaven. I was looking on WIkipedia for how many Christians were in the world, and someone had put on their all these rituals and celebrations that neither my church nor my family recit or celebrate!? I, in fact, never even heard of them. I do pray to Jesus and read my Bible (willing, even though it's recquired at my school), and go to Church to stay in God, and yes we clebrate Good Friday, Easter Sunday, (sometimes) Palm Sunday, Christmas, and we have communion and nailing our pains to the cross (around Easter time, of course). So, get my point? People keep asking me this! Ok, love?
