Do you all believe that Rome was set on fire by radical christian extremists the way the official sources had us believe, or do you believe the conspiracy theory that it was an inside job exectuted by Nero or on order of Nero, to frame the growing christian community with the crime ?

Evil ? You cant run an empire on good will alone. However Iam not comparing the moral base of the Roman empire which believed in slavery to democratic countries like the US who seek to make basic right and freedom avaiabel world wide as opposed to systems like in cuba which keeps their residents captive inside their own country.

Nero, who was a noted cruel ruler of the Roman Empire, blamed the Christians. It was not the Christians who started the fire.

I'm not sure if you can find a credible credentialed historian that would say otherwise. But I think that the history has shown that Nero was a very evil man.

Almost any credible historian will tell you that Nero used the Christians as scapegoats. Any historian who tells you otherwise is just trying to get his name known by throwing out a theory that was discared long ago.
