In church, my priest used to say something like "To God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost", which always confused me because that sounds like all three are God, yet all three are seperate beings, so how can they all be God if we beleive in only one God???

The Bible tells about that Jehovah God commanded Jewish boys to Gang Rape 32,000 virgin baby girls. That's a lot of babies being raped! What happened after the Gang Rapes? Were the babies put into some rehab center, to recover, in order to be raped anew? Does the Bible let us know? Did some survivors of the Gang Rapes escape to tell the world about it? As all those survivors of Europe's Holocaust? Was this not a Holocaust as recorded in the Bible? If not, why not?

How can you have it both ways...again, the fetus does not know who the father is....

Again, for this gray reason, I do not believe we can legislate abortion...

The question is this...fundamentalists...if it is murder in one instace...isn't it murder in both?

Finally, if your daughter was raped by a family member...would you not want her to have access to an abortion? Would you be willing to raise this child so that it has a quality life...rather than possibly ending up in the foster system...etc...

I used to beleive in soul mates I don't anymore. Not the way I used to anyway. Now I'm thinking it's all about who you are and what you want but how long is it going to take for me to find someone compatable. Is there a formula for this sort of thing?

They are touchy about sins that relate to themselves...

-obesity because of gluttony is a sin according to the Bible...but, fundies defend it as a medical condition, yet gays are not a medical condition.
-believe in the ten commandments, yet defend people who steal by means of not paying back credit card debt, defaulting on loans, bankruptcy etc...
-give lip service to spreading God's word...but, spend money building multi-million dollar buildings in the suburbs, yet locking their doors in the presence of the homeless...
-quote 1 Corinthians 6:9 condemning homosexuals...but, overlook the part of the verse that talks about divorced/remarried people going to hell...the divorce rate is over 50% for pastors...according to Newsweek!

Honestly, I have become quite disillusioned with these people...I used to give them the benefit of the doubt...but, now I see them as a threat to our world...they are hypocrites with double standards...they obviously are not of God...your thoughts?

I was wondering if religious people are concerned with the enviroment at all such as global warming. Renewable energy, polar ice caps, extinct animals ETC.

Or do none of these things matter because its all in Gods hands? Are scientists wasting there time preaching about environmental issues?

I never hear the Pope or other religious leaders talk about them. Why is that? or am I wrong?

Joseph Smith Jr. Lived in the 1800s he was a Christian.
he is said to be the first latter day prophet the things he wrote were so powerful Conspiracy therist published a newspaper saying lies about him and then Joseph got the council to stop publication but after that he was arrested for charges of reciting a riot when he did nothing, and he did not fight them but gave himself up to authorities, Joseph wrote much also a dream he had that jhesus told him to do a mission. later on mobs grew angry and hateful towards joseph and charged into the jail and killed joseph. but before his death he did so much.
i read some words of joseph i think the most powerful thing he said was " if my life is of no value to my friends, then it is none to me"

I used to be a Christian. I used to believe in God, so sometimes what I'd learned sticks with me. I have since pretty much turned my life over to the occult. Ouija, Dream Interpretation, Psychics, Ghosts, Demonology, etc. Anyways, things are happening around me and I am wondering if it is a reult of my involvement in such activities. I am extremely depressed, and very self-destructive anymore. I am back to cutting, using, drinking, casual sex, stealing, and homosexuality. It's like I have no concious anymore. I have this somewhat hatred toward God, it's weird. I'm just wondering, because of my Christian backround if I have let something bad in? It's hard because I'm still very skeptic about demonic possession and such. I don't really know what to do. I'm at the end of my rope, suicidal thought have been plaguing me. Is it just conviction, or worse? I'm so lost, angry and confused.
