Don't you too find it quite funny that the ones who support pro choice say that the one has a right to do what she wants with her body yet altogether ignore the babies body?

Why doesn't the baby get a choice?

Can you survive the first two years without any help from your mom? So does that mean i can kill a toddler? NO!!!!!!

Loathing?

Then why not wait until the baby is born and it can make a decision then ask it?

Besides you called the baby a baby and not cells

Gee Labgrll?

Maybe because it's the babies life that you are taking away and NOT THE MOTHERS!!!!

Labgrl...

The only time that abortion is ok is what you said. When both the baby and the mom will die, although that is only about 1% of the abortions

Amen to that.....

It's simply an excuse for what they're doing

It's all about trying to rationalize murder as okay

Can the baby breathe on its own? can the baby see on its own? can it walk, talk, work do its laundry, eat, go to the bathroom on its own? the answer is no, a baby that young cannot even survive outside of the womb, so how the hell CAN it be given a choice? If you asked it do you think it would answer in a tiny voice.." I want to be born"? How can it when at that stage it doesnt even have vocal chords?

Now I ask you who's responsibility is it to teach the baby how to live on its own and do all those things? its the mother well if the mother CANT do all that, doesnt want to do all that then why should she have to? I am not saying that abortion should be used as "birth control" because that is just stupid and irresponsible. But when a responsible person gets pregnant by accident and has no way of caring for that child, the responsible thing to do is not bring it into the world.. and since there are so many kids without family that are up for adoption and go through hell in foster care why would you subject your own flesh and blood to that kind of life? Better to end it all BEFORE it has begun. Personally I never WANT to have an abortion just because I doubt I will ever have an accident... if I was raped, or during a planned pregnancy it was a danger to me or the fetus was going to be handicapped I would have an abortion because thats the choice I would make, for my well-being, the babys well-being and because to me it would be the morally right thing to do. I am sorry but I dont think it is selfish to think of your own health, compared to that of an embryo or fetus that cant even live out of your body yet.

I know many people who are pro-choice that would never consider it themselves. Pro-choice really is just their way of saying *who* gets to make the choice - it's the pregnant woman's choice. There is no baby to make a choice at the state of pregnancy that abortions typically occur.

Edit: Why do people feel it's okay to prevent abortions, to stand in the way of anybody choosing what they call sin when they don't stand in the way of other sinful behavior? Why not just try to shut down brothels and casinos and bars? Surely they cause much, MUCH more suffering on this planet than abortions do and to stop the abortion takes a much more personal action - you have to tell the pregnant woman and/or her physician that they cannot do it no matter how incapable she is of bringing up that child. To shut down gambling or alcohol you just shut down a few huge faceless corporations.

Exodus 21 22-25 that is the only reference to punishment of harming unborn children. God would have sent specific word if He intended it to be that way. Obviously He is not as concerned with the life of the unborn as much as the already born. I know it was accidental but why is it different for the woman than the child? And it certainly changed my view about saving the child over the mother in medical crisis.
In case you don't have a bible I'll quote it from American Standard.
And if men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that she has a miscarriage, yet causes no further injury; he shall surely be fined as the woman's husband may demand of him; and he shall pay as the judges decide. But if there is any further injury, then you shall appoint as a penalty life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, bruise for bruise.
Further you'll get farther on your spiritual jungle rooting out the evil in your own heart. You see the Lord judges hearts and you can't see them. Perhaps if you pray for Him to instill humility and meekness you'll get past this self-righteous arrogance. The power to change dwells in you not others.

Your question makes no sense. If I buy into your faulty logic and say it is a baby, why should the baby get a choice OVER the mother's choice. If the baby gets a choice, why doesn't the mother get a choice?

I know that you probably won't read this, but think about it. If the baby had a choice, and the mother had the choice, why does the baby trump the mother? Why is the baby's choice more important. Pregnancy changes a woman, whether you like it or not.

I am a mother. If I was pregnant and that pregnancy jeopardized my LIFE, I'd abort because no POTENTIAL child has a stronger right to a mother than my ACTUAL one.

there is no baby involved in an abortion. the fetus can't think nor survive outside the womb, so it gets no choice. deal with it.

The baby "WILL" get a choice, as soon as it's allowed to grow into a larger and more evolved human being that is capable of making an intelligent and informed decision .
Unfortunately, there are far too many humans at present, that, while they've grown into larger humans,..have failed, miserably in they're own evolution and intelligence,in that they are allowed to choose life,or death for someone else's life, without the qualification to do so !

i think to many people use abortions as birth control if ur having sex u should know about protection i am against abortions jeremiah 1:5 kjv Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Because the fetus would never survive outside the womb as it's not a person yet and therefore wouldn't be able to make a choice anyway.

**A toddler is a person. I said that fetus would never survive as it's NOT a person yet. If a woman has that child the first three months of her pregnancy (when an abortion is typcially done) it's called a miscarriage.
You don't need to jump down my throat either buddy. I may be pro-choice, but that doesn't mean I'm pro-abortion. I'm pro choice because I don't think that people like you have the right to tell other what they can and can't do with their bodies because you simply don't agree with it.

dont you find it funny that alot of people who are anti abortion are pro capital punishment?

and the baby doesnt get a choice because it isnt capable of making one...
i am SURE that if some people had a choice to live.. they wouldnt want to.

"abortion is a very sad form of birth control"
abortion SHOULD NOT be a form of birth control.

Good point!

And if the baby is a girl, she should have JUST as much right to say what is done to her body. Ah well. I knew that the prochoice abortionist advocates were off base, but now I have another good argument in favor of LIFE and God's gift of life for a baby.

thanks
