I am a regular participant and put in a volley of questions in this intelligent Forum. While acknowledging many scholarly answers resultant to good reading and thoughts, I also wish to go on record that many answers are irrelevant to the subject and some are totally abusive. Point-targeted and abusive answers bring discredit to the Yahoo Answer Forum and undo its objectives. When I go through abusive questions and answers asked and replied to by others I promptly report it to Yahoo and I have found the response total. I request that all of us react this way to bestow respect and credibility to Yahoo! Answers. We post questions to benefit by its answers and those who answer should heed this factor. I asked many inconvenient and revolting questions – but with due respect to others’ feelings – and many have answered these intelligently proving me wrong on my conclusions or enlightening me with new thoughts and approach. Through this space I honor them with my respects. Lileeann33

I make & sell different kinds of beaded necklaces. The main type of necklace all of my catholic friends want me to make for them are rosaries.(Like all girls, I love to wear jewelry. I am a catholic so thought it would be cool to wear my rosary with my other necklaces. Although the Rosary to me is more then just a necklace, wearing it is the only way I can remember to pray it.Note the only place I ever pray the rosary in front of others is church.)
Some people are cool with with me wearing my rosary I don't know how many times I have had some one tell me"oh what a beautiful necklace you have"or "what a beautiful rosary you have". But I have had a few people take me aside & talk for 30mins on how it is wrong to wear & pray the rosary.
I asked my Husband about this, here is what he told me . People are all different some agree with it some don't who cares what people think ,It's your Rosary you should be able to wear it if you choose too. It's not up to others , it's up to you

Fourteen proofs that the earth and universe are young. All of them are blatant lies. If you are a creationist, how can you, in good conscience, support people who lie like this? I'll try to explain each of them as short as possible.
1. (winding galaxy)There is absolutely no reason given for why this is true, so it's just blowing smoke
2.(supernova)"according to observations" first words. So how are observations refuting them?
3.(comets)not true. Comets can be "captured" by a star and start orbiting it. They don't need to be the same age as the solar system
4,5(mud/sodium)these processes do not occur at a constant rate, but depend on teperature, pressure, etc.
6.(magnetic field)The earth's magnetic field is not decaying, it's oscillating. It changes its polarity every few thousand years.
7.no contradiction
8.(bio decay)"natural environments"key word. Air pockets or other exotic conditions can extend life

I am going to my brothers confirmation tomorrow. I haven't been to the church in a long while. I remember going up to the priest, or the Eucharistic(sp?) Minister....but what I am supposed to say/do is what I am seriously drawing a blank on. I do not want to embarass myself or my family tomorrow by doing something wrong.

When one defaults on a loan or does not repay credit card debt...you are stealing....so, why do so many Christians say this along with bankruptcy, etc...is o.k...

Those who fall into bad financial state because of health or unforeseen circumnstances should be helped by the church to repay their debt...should they not?

Therefore, fundamentalist Christians should not default on loans...because stealing is wrong....yet, according to Newsweek, those who file bankruptcy are equally divided between those who label themselves as Christians and those who don't.

Quite honestly, I am tired of paying for you people who cannot control your spending and live excessive lifestyles...but, yet you somehow justify it as you do all of the sins that affect yourself...while pointing out everyone elses...why is that?

In my original question, I cited Wikipedia as a source showing different animal species also have homosexual members. Giggly Giraffe will not accept that source, so I'm trying to gather some more. I think it is important that Christians realize humans can be born gay, and it's natural, and they shouldn't be demonized for it. Thanks.

To prove that there is no God one merely has to consider the creation of everything and realize that without everything there is nothing. So that God could not have possibly existed with nothing prior to there being everything. Why do YOU fear the truth? Because you know nothing about everything which is exactly my point!

Once the earth is cleansed,
and we r in the Kingdom of His Glory,
in a Paradise here on earth.
What do u look forward to the most?

Me...
1) That I won't know all the evil
I've ever seen or exp'ed in my life.
2) I will no longer have to put up w/ being sick.
i.e. No more migraines.
3) Seeing & being w/ my loved ones again.
food 4 all, homes, no wars, no hatred, all the earth worshipping Jehovah.
I remember my 1st, 3 day Convention, the 1st time I heard almost 150,000 voices singing to him; singing His praises...
it took my breath away, filled my heart 'til I thought it couldn't take any more.
There's much more...I wanna hear from u, tho.

What did God do, before Creating The Universe?

The quesiton of whether God exists has been one of polarizing division. I am a believer, myself. I have seen God make such amazing and remarkably positive impact and changes in the lives of so many people time and time again. That is people who have made such amazing accomplishments or improvements to themselves after making a proclamation of faith in Him. The question I have is why should those people (inspite of their accomplishments and/or improvements etc... simply because they give credit to God for what's happened in their life) be so ridiculed for holding that belief? While a non-believer will scoff and call them delusional as they are perfectly normal in every other aspect of their life, why would it bother them so much? I don't mean to be antagonistic here, I'm just genuinely curious.

I used to think that homosexuality was immoral. However, after meeting a few gay people, I began to think “Could this person be straight even if he wanted to?” I now feel that people do not choose to be gay. It is either genetic or stems from something in their childhood. Either way, how could a reasonable God send someone to hell for something that is out of their control? I know that most Christians will say something like, “If he would have asked God for guidance, God could have helped him be straight.” However, don’t you think that when most gay people were children and began to notice that they were different, many of them asked God for help?

If originally Adam and Eve were granted eternal life as long as they did not eat from the tree of knowledge. Why is not every man granted the same option? I would much prefer ignorance and paradise to mortality and suffering. How is this just? I had no freewill, because I had no option to choose ignorance.

Note: I'm not interested in "God is imaginary responses" or the like, I'm looking for a genuine opinion as to why people think this is just or perhaps if this is explained anywhere in the Bible.

What is the point of praying if God is only going to answer prayers that are in accordance with his "plan"? In Matthew 7:7, Jesus says, "Ask and it will be given to you." In Mark 11:24 he says, "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." Again in Matthew 17:20 he says, "nothing will be impossible for you." Doesn't that mean what it says? Wouldn't an all knowing God know how humans interpret sentences? He didn't say, "Nothing will be impossible for you, unless it is impossible, an unambiguous situation, or it isn't part of my plan." Notice that God never grants unambiguous prayers, like praying for a deserving amputee to grow back a limb or lifting a car lifted 10 feet of the ground by his divine power if a faithful person is trapped underneath. This tells me that God never answers prayers, and when he seems to it's only coincidence. Thoughts?

Personally, I don't drink...anymore...not because of a religious conviction but from an addictive personality. However, I don't think it is a sin to drink...Jesus turned water into wine and he was without sin. I've heard people claim that he did that because the water was polluted...okay...why the hell didn't he just make clean water? Don't be an idiot. Jesus turned water into wine at a celebration...a wedding to be correct. I don't believe drinking is a sin...I do think drinking too much is a sin. Excess is gluttony...think about it

If you don't believe in what is true then you believe in what is false. Christianity is the only true believe, the reason is simple, only christian saints can perform miracles other religions can't, only christian priests can exorcist other religion's priests can't, and only christians can be forgiven from sins because our savior Jesus die on the cross for the sake of the people, but if people doesn't believe in Jesus then they won't get to haven. why? the reason is simple jesus take your sins and he suffered for you, but if you doesn't believe in him then he can't help you, and if he can't help you redeem then guess where you are going to end up. So can you atlest open your eyes and see the truth?
