The openness of the forum is such that it becomes difficult to filter out desirable from undesirable and relevant from irrelevant. You have to take this democratic exercise with an open mind and with a pinch of salt. Don't take it too hard.

Yes you are right but at the same time have you noticed that there are many answers which is really throws the knowledge on the subject ?See it will be every where ! Some will say glass is half empty and some will say half full ! It is better to have positive attitude rather than negative ! But i congratulate you that you have asked this openly because i did not have seen such bold and brave question !Even you are right you or me can not do anything ! Only the yahoo board can do something to punish them after scrutinizing it !What do you say ?I suggest to yahoo to have a look to questions ans answers periodically and if found guilty on this base than automatically they should arrange to punish some heavy points to respective OK ! GOD bless there ! Always YouRsmE

I don't agree completely. If I ask a question, I want everyone who has an opinion to answer no matter if it will offend someone else. It is my question and I should be the one to decide if I do not want those answers or not.
I also do not report answers because of the same reason. If the person asking does not want to see it, all they have to do is give a thumbs down and it will collapse the answer and say you gave a poor rating.
What gives us the right to determine what is rude and what is not, anyway? There are some completely innocent things being said that can sound rude because you disagree with what is said.
Leave everyone else alone and worry about yourself and your questions. I will do the same.
Good day to all.

Okay, I studied your question in depth. It took me a minute to read it because of all the useless jargon included. No, I don't feel as if I didn't study your question. Some people are just born faster learners than others so it doesn't take them as long to weed through all the garbage included in the question to give somewhat of an intelligent answer to an unintelligent question. It can get rather complicated and thus cause one to skew a little off topic and start talking about something else only to fill up space and hide their obvious ignorance to the question thereby misleading the question asker along with all the readers involved such as I just did in my attempt to prove a point that should have only taken a few words to solve so I use this space to honor you for wasting both my time and yours along with countless others who could care less. Have a nice day and enjoy reporting me to yahoo for my lack of respect for you and your silly question.

Yes! People see one word in the question and they just go "blah blah blah, the Bible says, God says...blah, blah, blah".
I don't mind them expressing their opinion but at least address the question, right? I hate that!
Of course, I have to admit that there have been times when I answered the question and then realized I'm not addressing the right sex. Sometimes, I didn't get what the person was trying to find out. I was adding things into my answer that were not wanted. I'm working on that.
My response is just to give someone who just blabs a thumbs down. I agree with your response, though. Threatening someone with death is not productive to learning let me tell you! It gives me a headache! I've heard it all before! I think I might just do the same to them. Hate preachers should be banned.

I agree that some of the answers are totally irrelevant to the questions. Reasons may be that the people are just trying to get points by answering to them.
Whereas people have right to their freedom in replying with their opinions, it is not a good courtesy to offend one's view.
Respect the fact that people use this forum to get some important answer. It may be really critical for them to get an answer to their questions. Respect their necessity.
I have also seen lots of answers in the in.answers.yahoo.com portal, which are answered by non Indians, in their own context. This also shows that they are not aware that these may be irrelevant culturally and regionally.
Remember, there are culture differences and we have to come to terms with them.
Only report such answers that are truly abusive, using offensive languages and personally hurting.
Let this be a Forum for knowledge sharing and mutual benefit. Do not offend other's views.
Thanks,
Narayan

Of course it is our duty to report the abusive answers in the community.
But, Some might not have read the question as you thought and could have given irrelevant answers. That can be left alone. Also, someone who has less proficiency in language cannot express efficiently and you might not have understood their ideas. That is also can be left.

all those who's practising a sparkling language will make blunders. it really is how we study. If we did not make blunders and study from them, we'd want to under no circumstances strengthen previous the starting up element. in reality, it really is fairly the secret of arising language skills: have the braveness and humility to make blunders. no man or woman is perfect, and we who communicate English will appreciate the attempt you're making. you ought to also examine lots. Newspapers, magazines, and books. you may want to as nicely study from reading youngster's books in English, because you'll see how we positioned words mutually. Then dare to attempt them out! If a probability, make acquaintances with human beings whose first language is English, and ask them to impressive your blunders. each from time to time everyone is too polite to impressive you until eventually you ask them to. remember, in case you do not make blunders, you'd be stagnating on the "secure" element the position you're, yet you'll under no circumstances upward thrust above it. it really is not any time for shyness or perfectionism. merely bounce in, and shortly you'll sense extra tender. once you attain out, human beings will also attain out to you and help you alongside.

Yes, I agree with you. But sometimes, I feel that answers are irrelevant because two questions or more are asked in the question and they do not really relate to each other. Now as for abusive and inappropriate answers - that is just uncalled for.

I think many questions are answered to the depth that some of the participants have. More time would not provide greater depth.
