The Bible tells about that Jehovah God commanded Jewish boys to Gang Rape 32,000 virgin baby girls. That's a lot of babies being raped! What happened after the Gang Rapes? Were the babies put into some rehab center, to recover, in order to be raped anew? Does the Bible let us know? Did some survivors of the Gang Rapes escape to tell the world about it? As all those survivors of Europe's Holocaust? Was this not a Holocaust as recorded in the Bible? If not, why not?

Chapter 31 of Numbers is directly related to chapter 25. Midianite women committed temple prostitution, and roped Israelite men in to this. The Israelite men died at the hand of their fellow Israelites. The plague that had been afflicting the Israelites then stopped. Later, when the Midianites were defeated, many women and children were spared alive, against instructions. Those who were not virgins (and mainly responsible for the sexual immorality of chapter 25) were slain, the virgins were not touched. Nobody was raped. The Israelites were being a dashed sight more civilised than the Philistines and Midianites round about them, who would sacrifice their babies in fire to their gods.
The Bible never glosses over evil and when the Israelites did evil things, that is recorded. They are not condoned for doing evil - in fact, the Bible is at pains to point out what people suffer for disobeying God by sinning. Your take on history might well be sanitised for modern-day life, and grossly lacking in understanding of the life and times of ancient peoples. The Holocaust was an all-time evil yet we have alarming numbers of people today denying it even happened. The conflict between Israel and Midian is recorded in the Bible, and vast numbers of people jump on this historical account to say, "Ah hah! We've got you now, God!" Really?

You're right, Numbers 31, verses 18 & 35 (specifically).
It wasn't 32,000 though, it was '30 and two thousand' which is 2,030.
You know the more I learn about Moses (who gave the orders) the more I can see he was just a regular egotistical maniac along the lines of Stalin or Hitler, nothing much changes.

This story just goes to show what bloody-minded nonsense much of the Old Testament is.
Incidentally, according to Numbers, the slaughter of the Midianites was initiated by Moses for quite trivial reasons. God was kind of on the sidelines for this one. And the 32,000 virgins wern't raped -- they were enslaved, which might have been just as bad. Overall, this is one of the nastiest and ugliest incidents in the Bible (and there are plenty of them.)

No, because Numbers 31 doesn't mention any gang rapings of virgins. It does say that "32,000 women who had never slept with a man" were taken as PLUNDER. Does plunder = rape? I doubt you could find a single etymologists who would agree to that.

The real Holocaust is the death toll from religion/sectarian violence. It's over 100 million and climbs every day. That makes what is written in Numbers 31 a grain of sand on an entire beach. Isn't it a tragedy that we are not supposed to talk about it?

Where did you get this information? It says nothing of the kind. Moses said all were to be killed but the female virgins. didn't say anything about rape, where's your mind? The reasoning behind that is that they would be made slaves and or wives of their men [ if they converted]. The boys were killed so the seed of the people would not continue, the women who had been with men for two reasons they may seek revenge or be pregnant.

It is particularly shameful because this questioner's slander plainly disagrees with the bible and godly principles of the time. Rape was never even tolerated, much less encouraged.
Israelite soldiers were allowed to marry captives, but had to treat them with the same rights and respect due to a natural-born Israelite wife.

I would say the slaughter of all the males and all the female non-virgins on the orders of god was a bigger numerical holocaust.
Still, the slaughter of an estimated 75 million people by god during the Black Plague is probably the biggest holocaust.
