I have read and even answered several that I just had a feeling were quite frankly lies. What would dirve a person to lie to make Christians sound bad?Oh! I know they want to make no-believers sound better but why tell an out right lie?

About a year ago, a girl from my church who I already somewhat disliked (but not hate) insulted me behind my back. i later found out about it from another friend. this made me so mad at her and even when the mutual friend told her she should apologize to me because her statement hurt me a lot, she refused. even now, a year later, i can't forgive her for what she said. when there's no mention of her and i forget about her, everything is fine, but when someone mentions her, i feel so resentful. the thing is that i have been a christian for so long and i know that i need to forgive her because God has forgiven me. i've even prayed to God to help me let go of what happened, but i still get those feelings of intense dislike. what can i do?

The book of 1 John speaks of the spirit of anti-Christ.
However, the book of Revelation speaks of the actual person.

What do think the difference is between the 2?

Do you feel that the spirit of anti-Christ is here (in the world) already?

Is Jesus Christ God made flesh? If so, why would He say as a child to his mother "why were you looking for me? Didn't you know I was about my father's business?" . And when He was on the cross, why would He say "Father, why have thou forsaken me?" if he is God? Could it be that Jesus was just a man who died on the cross and didn't receive the holy part of Christ until His ressurection?

accepting christ as your savior or your faith? so often i keep getting told to accept christ as my savior, but wouldn't that mean i would have to have some sort of faith in him to begin with. my faith is built on trust. and i'm sorry to say i've never seen anything done by christ to earn my trust. please, i know everyone wants to throw john 3:16 at me. but i just don't buy that story. i'm glad you do, though. i trust in my family and my friends. when i ask for help they are there. and their help is not open for interpretation. so this brings me back to my question. do you accept jesus as your savior first and then grow faith on that. or are there events in your life which have occurred that make you have faith that there is a god, and then you accept jesus?

A human professor gives up his only life to help students escape with their lives? (Calhoun said that the two students behind him were shot, but that he believed they survived. Just before he climbed out the window, Calhoun said, he turned to look at his professor, who had stayed behind, apparently to prevent the gunman from opening the door. The instructor was killed, Calhoun said.) http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070417/ap_on_re_us/virginia_tech_shooting

To indulge in and be entertained by the unbridled sex acts fit for dogs is not enough for these animals.

I once had little, then had none, now have some, but want more. I am a very scientific type, have a hard time with many religious beliefs but am very willing and trying to have an open mind. I once had no faith, in fact I was a very angry and defient person all around. Life got impossibly miserable for me and forced me into resonableness. I now have the willingness to believe, I asked "god" for help, help came, I was dragged from my own personal hell by a force I cannot understand or wrap my mind around. I want to be sure I am following the right road, I ask for help and guidence daily. I would like some input into how others have built there faith and what to expect. I do read the bible. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Can the 200+ dead casualties claim that God killed them and it was His mistake?

The same goes for the kids that the Mad Korean missed in Vtech.

Was it a miracle that some of them weren't shot? Or was it God's mistake that He let this disturbed animal KILL innocent kids and a prominent Professor, who happend to be a Holocaust Survivor?

Is it just a front to appease the voters?

Will he drop the faccard when Hillary's carreer is over?

The Only way one can prove their faith is if they are truly born again and dedicate their lives in doing the will of God (Matthew 7:21 read from verse 15 – 29). “Faith without works is dead” This is what I see happening in my country America, if U.S was really a Christian Country the violent and crazy things that I see and hear on the news every day would be rare. This Shows Me that Pastors And Bishops are not Building People, but rather concern about make money for themselves, because they do not want to tell their Members the truth because the truth hurts and the truth is the Word of God. It is easier to destroy then to build. In order For one to get to heaven along with faith they must love God with all their hearts by OBEYING his words stop living in worldly natural sin, But be born again by becoming a new person mentally & spiritually learn that the ways of the world is evil and fight it by showing love and doing what is right in the sight of the Lord , because He is always watching.

I realise that most Christians and Catholics love God no doubt, but we really cannot say we love God while we can't even love people right in front of us who is made in His image. To love our neighbors esp. those who hate us will be the best way to say i love you my lord and my god. cheers.

The Bible warns us not to trust in astrology.
In another online Bible study, I summarized God's warning in the Bible about astrology, the occult, mediums, divination and sorcery.

The main problem with these practices is that they cause us to look to other sources of "power," not to God himself. God created everyone alive. He loves us, and wants a close personal relationship with us. When we get caught up with "spiritual" ideas, we often think we are seeing the bigger picture when in fact we miss God himself.

God is not simply a "force," an idea or a nebulous spirit. He is real, and his passionate love for you is real.

God communicated his message of love through Jesus. Jesus' message of love is very different from that of the many "New Age" religions and schools of thought

The Bible does predict cataclysmic future events.
God's Word (the Bible) tells us that someday Jesus will return to earth. Momentous things will happen that day. We are encouraged to live lives worthy of God and to be ready for that day.
The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord (Acts 2:20).

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare (2 Peter 3:10).
But the Bible also tells us that no one knows when that day will take place. Numerous people have claimed to know and have been proven wrong. It shouldn't be a surprise that they were wrong, because the Bible says no one knows. December 21, 2012 (or December 12, 2012) is no more likely than any other day to be the day when Jesus returns or when anything else of significance happens.
No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father (Matthew 24:36).

God loves you and doesn't want you to worry about the Dec. 21, 2012 predictions. Instead, he wants you to enter into an intimate relationship with him and to grow in his Spirit. Don't get distracted! Instead, "Come near to God and he will come near to you" (James 4:8).

Catholics out there that there is a reason to distinguish some as Roman Catholic (unless they are indeed from Rome). I mean I don't hear of Polish Catholics, or Russian Orthodox Catholics, or Greek Catholics, etc. And while some may say they are called Roman Catholics because the Vatican is in Rome, the Vatican is not in Rome, it's in Vatican City - a country in and of itself. Therefore they should be called Vatican Catholics.

Not trying to stir things up, just curious why some people tend to call Catholics "Roman Catholic" while others just call them Catholic.
