No matter what walk of life someone chooses we are commanded by Jesus to love one another. We are warned against judging one another. God is the only judge. God put us here on the earth as his children. He wants everyone to get along. Those that don't...he has no use for.
He wants law abiding, humble humans to populate the paradise earth that will soon be here. When the great tribulation leads to Armageddon then God's people will survive and be brought into a new earth. It will be this earth ...only cleansed of the wicked element.
Do you love me? Do you love your neighbor? It's a very serious question. You must love if you want salvation. And if you love your fellowman you will do as Jesus taught...go therefore and make disciples of men of all the nations teaching them to observe all the things I have taught you baptizing them in the name of the father, the son and the holy spirit.
So in answer to your question, they have to believe to get saved. If they don't believe there is no hope for them. God says brush the dust from your feet and move on. Move on to someone more deserving of my time. For they have already condemned themselves. But take heart...they may change before the end comes.

Here's the thing: Too many of these nerds feel the need to knock down eachother. Although your heart is in the right place, I think you're asking for the impossible. You've got the self-righteous Christians who slap that huge churchy paintbrush around, the "cool atheists", and the extremists who will bring you down. All in all, it would be difficult. I, however, will do my part. I love everyone.

i have no religion but i dont see why people try to convert people to there faith when basicly the foundations are the same but its just the outside that is different. eg you all believe that there is a high source of power that created the world and place humans on it and that this being can provide mircles every so often to keep the faith of man alive

You see, it's quite simple.
Athiests can be equally as moral and ethical as anyone who professes to be religious. Never mind what religion. In fact, most athiests I know are often more moral and ethical than most of those who profess to have faith.
That's the beauty of having a free will.
The God I believe in loves anyone who lives a moral and ethical life, even those that don't "believe" in his existence.
When our souls return to the cosmos, I don't think it will matter whether we believed or not, only what quality of life we led.
Because I know a lot of devout people of faith who have no right to believe they have overcome their immoral and unethical lives here on earth simply because they claim belief in God.

Here's even a Better Good One for ya:
atheists = all the people in religion...
Here's the Solution, even for atheists and everyone in religion:
Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.
"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

I understand exactly what you mean. People shouldn't put other people down for what they believe in.
Good statement.
