I'm looking for this certain scripture about asking for something to be done but if there is no effort into trying to fulfill it yourself then it means nothing at all.

'Carnival of Souls' by KISS is an incredible album that got overshadowed by the reunion tour. It's much darker, lyrically, than anything they've ever done, and it very much has a 90s rock/grunge flavor to it. It never got its just due, and I think most people who like hard rock would like it, even if they weren't a fan of the band themselves.

(And yes, I love KISS. Accept it, or be destroyed by it.)

More mood lightening....

There are three nuns who die. They get to heaven and Paul is at the gate. He tells them they must answer an easy question before they go through. He asks the first one, 'Who was the first woman' She replies 'Eve' so he lets her through. He asks the second 'Where did Eve live?' She replies that it was the Garden of Eden so he lets her in. The third nun is the Mother Superior so he tells her that he's going to ask her a more difficult question. She agrees and he asks 'What's the first thing Eve said after she saw Adam?' The Mother Superior said 'Ooh. That's a hard one...' and Paul says 'That's right. You're in!'

To start, I will say that because no individual - during physical life - can truly understand & know what Eternal Life is, nor can one truly know if its exists before death; I will not ask WHAT Eternal Life is. However, if you would like to give your opinion on this, that is quite alright with me.

Here are the Real Questions I have....

...am I the only one who kind of feels left out? This is usually the reason I stop posting on forums. The familiarity amongst the regulars ends up defining who's 'cool' and who's 'there', and the whole "Top Contributor" badges aren't helping all that much.

Don't get me wrong, I adore all of you, it's just that I've never been all that good at remaining in large social situations.

did jesus not teach a universal truth? many things he said are the same as ather teachers. jesus saves us all by comming back on easter not by being put on the cross. if he had been put on the cross and did not come back what would he have proved. he showed life does not end at death. should we fear god or love him. i don't think it can be both.

I've never seen any of the Godfather movies.

I've never seen 'Gone With The Wind' (which, living in Atlanta, I'm pretty certain is a misdemeanor offense).

Or can I just want him to be happy, even able to get married if he's lucky enough to find that kind of lasting love. I must admit, I'd be worried about him, having to face more challenges and dangers at the hands of hateful people, but I'd never deny the possibility that God could love him so much that he sent his son to die for him as well, and that my son would still be with me in heaven. After all, Jesus didn't hate anybody as far as I know....

For me, it was a combination of the book Positive Magick, by Marion Weinstein and meeting a really cool guy who was Wiccan, after a couple years of being an "apatheist." It led me into Wicca. Later, I hankered after something a bit older, and so began attempting to apply the Old Ways to my modern life. I now identify as a Pagan.

How did you first learn about it? Book, website, friend, or something else altogether?

Tell everyone a little-known fact about yourself.

For example, how many of you know I'm almost completely night-blind? I've actually walked into walls before and my kids think it's hilarious, the little stinkers.

Oh, I almost forgot: Jesus!
