Good questions, all...
- Bible has a huuuuuge disconnect with reality,
- Noah's just another story (*way* more than those are wrong);
- Neither... We should *discard* the Bible as flawed.
- God does *not* exist - thus never had control.

The ark, being a MINIMUM of 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high, was more than big enough to take the "kinds" of animals required: poodles and Great Danes weren't required (they were bred in the last 1,000 or so years from wolves), neither was it necessary to have different types of camels, for instance. Not even the Polar bear was necessary, as the genes were present in the types taken on board. By the way, penguins live in South Africa today; really think they wouldn't be much more widespread before widespread predation, which wasn't necessary 'til the food scarcity caused by the Flood, allowed so that the curse on the earth caused by Adam's sin would be a reminder to all who would heed God's word.
These and other question are answered in "Noah's Ark: a Feasibility Study", by John Woodmorappe. Mr. Woodmorappe has both an MA and BA in Geology, and also wrote papers on Organic Evolution in university. He didn't become a Christian until Uni, and the Creationist evidence he was shown sent him into what has been dubbed "Creation shock".
Other books and magzines are available, if only you would seek them out instead of trying to score cheap points off other Christians who themselves are in the dark over this subject.
God could wipe everybody out without even uttering a word, but He doesn't as He desires all people everywhere to repent and thus be saved, which is why He allowed slavery (by the way, Biblical slavery was vastly different from what slavery was in Christian abolitionist William Wilberforce's day, as He prescribed the death penalty for kidnap, thus prohibiting slavery as practised by our ancestors, and the atheist sex slavemakers today, and also prohibited maltreatment of slaves, in actuality servants, people who had fallen on hard times and would otherwise be homeless).
As for "turn the other cheek/eye for an eye", your argument simply doesn't stand up to scrutiny. Jesus said "If someone strikes on the right cheek turn to him the left one also." This is about a slap, and Jesus was saying "Don't escalate the situation unnecessarily." But Jesus NEVER said (as even some Christians leaders seem to think He did), "If a man is trying to stab you in the heart, bear your chest to make it easier for him": nor did he say "If a man is trying to rape you, lift up your skirt and part your legs to make it easier for him." Jesus made a whip from cords to drive the moneylenders out of the Temple, a construction of wood, stonework, gold and other fine decorations, but just a building for all that. What reaction do you think He would have had if He'd come across an attempted murder, of someone intended to be a temple of the Holy Spirit? If you think he would've walked away, as so many do today, then you truly don't know much about Jesus. The New Testament affirms the death penalty for murder in several places, and also makes provision for national defence and war. I too once thought the Bible was a hoary fraud, until I discovered it mentioned SCIENTIFIC facts not even proven until centuries later, e.g. the earth is spherical and and is neither standing on or suspended from anything (see the book of Job); the whole cycle of water from raincloud to river to sea and back again, not proven till just a few centuries ago; that stars number in the billions, not even guessed at until the 19th century; and the job of blood in the body, not thought to be especially important by westerners until about three centuries ago.
So instead of believing the self-deluding Richard Dawkinses of this world, do yourself a favour and try reading the Bible, and visiting the three following websites:

Christian Answers' website has links to many other sites, most of which are written by fully-accredited scientists. See the books sold by Answers in Genesis for a good, comprehensive refutation of the modern fable that is Darwinian evolution.

ummm, the polar bear and penguin were in section b-72/ and 75, respectively. The flying birds had nests in section a-3.5 and on the 'poop' deck.
The Bible doesn't claim to be the ultimate science text book. Although Lot, might be considered a caveman of sorts.
I've always wondered about 'leviathan' as an example of a dinosaur.
And besides, 'rain falls on the just and un-just alike'.

I'm not sure how you arrived at the conclusion that God has control over people. He doesn't. He gave us control over ourselves - free will, as we say.
An eye for an eye was an expression that Jesus tried to do away with by His teachings to turn the other cheek. That isn't a contradiction - it is merely Christ admonishing us not to have "an eye for an eye" attitude.
God gave Noah the exact specifications and measurements for building the ark in order to accomodate all the animals that existed at that time. Remember, he only took 2 of every species, and my guess is that he probably had them stacked somehow, floor to ceiling (for those that their cages could be worked that way) and had them positioned very close together. The Bible also says that God "brought" the animals to Noah. God can do anything, including "bringing" a polar bear & penguin halfway around the world to board the ark. It's God we're talking about after all, and He can do anything, by any means that we humans can't comprehend because we're - well, humans. Also remember that species do evolve somewhat - science has been able to prove that. Some of the species in Noah's time may have cross-reproduced and produced other species that are in existence today but were not in existence then.
As for dinosaurs and cavemen, who's to say that dinosaurs weren't long dead by the time of Noah, or that they weren't included on the ark (God would have made all animals co-exist w/out hurting each other, in order to ensure their survival so they could reproduce)? Besides, the Bible doesn't mention every single animal in existence, so why should the dinosaur be any different? I do remember somewhere reading about a leviathan type of animal, and that could be any type of prehistoric animal that we've heard about.
As for cavemen, branches of Noah's descendants could have moved to different areas and formed their own way of life. We don't know what Noah looked like, nor his descendants. Or, the cavemen could have been earlier man who the Bible doesn't mention because it wasn't necessary to mention it. The Bible only mentions those things that God feels we need to know.
As for the rain falling on the just and unjust, well, you can call it trash, but it's true. Good and bad things happen to everyone - it's called LIFE. Bad things DO happen to people - innocent, undeserving people. Still, God allows things to happen because we alone choose which way we will act. It is humans who harm one another - we should blame ourselves, not God when people hurt one another.

OK, so I don't believe in this story of the bible either, but here's what would be considered common answers:
Dinosaurs and cavemen didn't exist at this time. Their remains were left by god in the earth's crust to test our faith in him.
-OR-
Dinosaurs were on the ark, but were not listed specifically as were many of the species. However, they perished following the great flood because they weren't as clever as the other species and this is proven because the "fossil" record is really a record of the great flood and those animals which were least intelligent drowned in the flood first, then animals slightly smarter than they were, and so on. This is why there appears to be a type of "evolution" in the fossil record but it's really just a record of dumber to smarter species.

very interesting First off you don't believe in God so you won't believe in any miracles that he did and does..
I know right now some people that used to live in caves, are they cavemen??
Dinosaurs by that name are not mentioned, but dragons and large beasts are mentioned. Dinosaur is an english word.
God brought the animals, and the climate in the world was not the same as it is now. I also doubt that penguins need protection from a flood?? LOL
You are trying to make God into a man and put limitations on him as if he were a mere man. God is a lot smarter than you think he is..
Slavery is something that you do every day when you go to work..and don't think that paid servants and workers were never beaten by their bosses in the USA.
After the great tribulation you will then understand the awsome power of God..

The Bible is one of the best selling fiction books in the world and it makes for a great read. The story of Noah and his boat, Adam and Eve, Heaven and Hell, are all stories to guide the masses. The bible uses entertainment and fear in order to guide the population down the "right path".
Entertainment can be a very powerful form of manipulation. Just look at the media today. Another control mechanism is fear. Fear is a great way to scare people into voting a certain way or not raising a fuss when people are oppressed in the name of safety.

Must have been a heck of a boat!!! You forgot something: why didn't god just save two of each and kill all the others, without getting everything wet?
Edit: a lot of animals, incl. penguins, could've survived a flood! (How bringing just 2 mosquitoes? And where to put all that food? Feeding animals to the lions?!)

That's easy to answer. John the Baptist was a caveman. He dwelt in caves.
The Leviathan was a dinosaur. It had many forms and shapes.
Noah was able to get all the animals on the boat by hiring Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, and Marlin Perkins to trap them and load them on board. (Of course they had to get Joseph Strauss to engineer bridges to connect the American Continent, and Australia to Europe and Asia. It was quit a feat to get the Pharaohs to loan them the Hebrew slaves to build the things.)
So the slaves served God's purpose you see....
And actually it was Noah who invented the umbrella, though he has never been given credit for his contribution to society.
So there's your answer........ coming straight from the Panzer Pope himself.
