I am in college and I have been freaking out about this for so long that I haven't even started and it's due this week or next week and I don't know anything about research, because high school never covered it, and college doesn't cover enough of it except for how to avoid plagerism and not enough of how to look for the research!!

Go to Google or Yahoo search engines and type in your subject...you will get all kinds of research. Do not use people's websites and stay away from wikopedia...try to find sites that offer information from several viewpoints. The libraries use computers now too to locate research articles from books and magazines.
We were not taught to research in high school either and I had to learn myself in college. It was sooo embarrassing. I told my partner who is a teacher to make sure he teaches his students how to do research.

You can start with the puritans who had everything in school, the bible, prayer, ect. and then show how all the freedoms of religion was taken away and now darwinism is taught in school, you can't pray, you can't read a bible or sing a praise and worship song in your choir class or have a bible study, all freedoms that the Puritans wanted and the reason why they came over here in the first place.
You can also explain how in Utah the mormons are allowed to have a mormon class during school hours because the state is run by Mormons.

Pick a topic under religion and the public schools.
-Creationism, Intelligent design and the public schools
-prayer in the public schools
-bibles handed out in school
-the controversy over teaching the bible as literature in public schools.
-Religious bullying (look up Tempest Smith)
-&c.
Go to your library and google scholar and look up books, news articles and stuff online.

In your paper discuss the research. Depending on the topic, you will either have to discuss both sides without taking a position or discuss both sides while taking an opinion.

How ever did you make it out of high school without EVER having performed research in the past??
Truth is, Id love to assist, as this is a subject close to my heart. However, you are never going to learn anything unless you do it yourself...
Might I suggest you head to the nearest library, and FAST?

Sorry hon, it's unethical for me to do your homework for you. You're old enough to know better. That's why it's called a "research essay" because you're supposed to do the research... not pick other people's brains at the last minute, nor rely on what you studied in high school.

Religious topic will be mostly on Bible which will not obtain you high marks. Hindru and Muslin or Budha will be odded to talk but will get high marks as even your examinor will interest to know.

While I can't sit here and write a paper out for you, like everyone that I know always asks me to do their philosophy papers fpor them..I can give you an opinion,
and thats that religion should be taught as an opinion and not fact. in fact it really should just be an elective period.

They took the bible out of the public schools in the 60`s;this is why so much degenerate and violent behavior is ruling.
