Only because Mormons may think they have more insight because of their book that may or may not contradict with biblical scripture.

I believe the Mormon Book is anathema also.

Thanks Dragonik.
That is what I meant.
Jesus lets me know in my inner spirit man that the Mormon Book isn't of His Spirit. It is of a different spirit than the Jesus Christ of Nazareth. The biblical Spirit of God is One Spirit, so will not disagree on the foundation & Salvation by His redeeming Blood. His Grace saves us (eternal life) not that His Blood makes a way for us to be good enouph to earn everlasting life. When one is born of God, one is sealed by the Holy Spirit. That is everlasting life.

Jesus said dont add to my words Revelation 22nd chapter of get a plague

Mr smith got gold tablets from heaven which he lost-and in this stuff was stuff like a warm feeling will get you to heaven but I am afraid it gets you a bigger warm feeling in the other place

worship is the key for mormons and my Jewish and all people = we are created in God's image--say you lived alone on an Island-would you be content-maybe if you never received true love and adoration you would-yet deep in your heart you would long for that.

God who is a fellowship-because it is his nature and nurture-an example of 3 forms being one H2o water steam or ice -always h2o yet comes in 3 forms.
Well this God who has fellowship within himself desired to create a world with people that could join his fellowship-

back to the Island-even as you talk words come from your mouth-they are not part of you yet they are you in essence-so in a way you can fellowship with yourself-yet wouldnt you desire more??? communication adoration, yet to give the right -free will to others to reject you too? would you give yourself to your creation-would you come to die to forgive them of their rejection of you-in an attempt to show your love to have their fellowship???

this is deap stuff-you may just get a little of it-I pray with time u will understand the heart of God to love you, adore you, care for you as a good shepherd John 10
you may think im totally nuts- I am 165 IQ raised a Jew taught to reject Jesus too. Now he is my savior and best friend and I do worship him -i have tears in my eyes right now-he means so much to me. John 3 repented of my rejection of him and rebellion=sin and let him come to live within my heart to be my best friend.

have a nice day in the prince of peace Isaiah 9:6 "Unto us a child is born a son given, and he shall be the almighty God and the prince of peace." PEACE, David

Yes of course!
Cloud: Just one thing, we are not taught to confront anybody, we live our religion and try to live our lifes as Jesus taught. You should do the same. :)
David: I'm so happy you found Christ and felt His love. About the revelation scripture just one thought but Jonh wrote revelations and he didn't have the other books that now all together are the Bible, That would means he reffered to the revelations book also in
Rev. 14:6 6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
I wonder why if they had the teachings of the ancient prophets (now know as the old testament) and the teachings and knowledge of our Savior, he (Jonh) recived revelations of and angel having the everlasting gospel to preach to all nations, etc.???
Mike B: Use another scripture please, the same thing about revelations! anyways and talking about angels the bible doesn't say in any single chapter anything that the Lord won't send his angels also revelations tell us about many angels coming from heaven and I have a questions for you, Do we mormons, believe in another Gospel?? that's funny.
Rom. 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Tami, with all my respect for you and for everyone.
If you believe the Book of Mormon is not true doesn't mean you are right. For sure you believe in the Bible I'm glad about it, but you should follow it's teachings and be more respectful and loving with others people believes.
Luke 6:35
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Give me a question and I'll try to answer it to the best of my knowledge. Catch me in the right mood and I may do so without quoting the Book of Mormon, but it will probably have a distinctly Mormon feel to it which you may interpret to be coming from the Book of Mormon. It may indeed come from principles taught in the BofM, in which case I'm chalked up to being some Mormon quack. If it doesn't come from principles taught in the BofM, then people think I'm some raging fundementalist. Either way I'm not taken seriously. So my point has become to say what I feel is right and be true to what I believe, if people like you don't like it so be it.

I have not see that a lot here. I personally use current talks from authorities more than scriptures. They quote the Bible as often as the Book of Mormon.

Mormons can and do answer biblical questions using the bible, but as you may have seen there are many different interpretations of the bible. Garden of Eden, grace vs. works, baptism, authority, godhead, etc. There is a much clearer understanding of the bible using other scripture and modern day Revelation.

If it is a "biblical" question, sure, why not. If it is a "doctrinal" question, I would use both sources, along with the Doctrine & Covenants and Pearl of Great Price if needed. I do not believe the bible contains the fulness of the gospel, otherwise, there would be no need for further scripture.

I answer biblical question without quoting from the Book of Mormon, I dont see the point in quoting from the Book of Mormon if the question is not about the Book of Mormon....

Nothing in the Bible contradicts anything we believe, or that's in the Book of Mormon. It might contradict your interpretation of the Bible. But, there's nothing that says to me that your interpretation is the only one we should listen to.

We DO have mre insight because of the Book of Mormon and because we have a living prophet and apostles to lead our church the way God wants.

They quote heavily from the bible during the missionary lessons. After you're baptized, you get the full treatment of the Adventures of Nephi and the Book of Mormon. The Doctrine of Covenants and Pearl of Great Price are quoted more often, since they believe they are more recent relevations. Members are discouraged from reading the Journal of Discourses, since #1: it's more boring than the BoM and #2: there's a lot of hateful and violent passages that are supposedly uttered from the mouths of the profits.

God also commanded Joseph Smith to re-translate the bible, which he started. The church does not refer to this inspired version for the obvious reason that they've unloaded too much BS already.

Anyway, you're not allowed to question any of the current or past doctrine, since it's not faith promoting, and indicates that you're thinking independantly, and not being a good sheep.

Cureloms indeed!

Of course. What questions do you have in mind?

Some of the answers on here look like they need to ask some questions. They have a lot of common misconceptions. It's pretty hard to learn about the history of all the denominations today and conclude that an apostasy did not occur.

Hi! Of course. I'd be glad to answer any questions you have.
(Using only the bible if you prefer)

I think we are all God's children and we can be saved through the grace of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Have a Great Day!

Of course I can. You do realize that LDS believe the Bible to be the word of God...not just the Book of Mormon, right?
