I'm so excited. Mummy says she's sorry about sending me to bed early and to make up for it she is going to buy me a book tomorrow! It will be my first book ever - after 30 years of having nothing else to read except the Catechism and the Bible. What should I pick? What should I read first? Oh, it's not fair. How am I going to sleep now?

(Harry Potter is out)

With love in Christ.

Just because the bible might have some faults, or may be completely false, does not mean that a God may not exist. God is a concept, a Supreme Being. Maybe he never even left us a bible. Does that mean that he doesnt exist? Absolutely not....

So remember, attack the concept of God, not the bible.

I've heard it argued that if someone believed in God, they would be frantic trying to learn more about him. They would not be content to have a minute pass by without thinking of his desires...

Do you think this is true? Do you live your life this way?

In one of his books Li Hongzhi says: "Falun Dafa is a cultivation way of the Buddha School. No one is allowed to propagate any religions under the guise of practicing Falun Dafa." Does this mean one can't be Muslim or Christian and still practice Falun Dafa?

Do you need to be a politician to be in the politics section?

Do you need to be a medical practioner to be in the health and medicine section?

All you need is an interest in these topics.

You don't need to have a belief in god to find religion and spirituality of interest to you.

The religious beliefs of the masses have a major impact on the whole of society.

Wouldn't it be wrong for us NOT to have an interest in the topic?

I heard Jesus says this in the bible. So by this logic, if I hurt somebody, I hurt Jesus. So then why isn't the converse also true, if somebody hurt me, then Jesus did it to me???

Why would this only work one way ?

Jehovah's Witness bible:
John 1:1-3
1 In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. 2 This one was in [the] beginning with God. 3 All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence.
New King James
John 1:1-3
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

Is the "Word" really God or isn't He? Which bible should I believe?

In order for the agreement to have any teeth, there needs to be an enforcement mechanism. Since it was established by the R&S community independent of Yahoo! Answers, I don't think abuse reports are the way to go. So what do you think? What actions, if any are appropriate?

Does anyone have a story they would like to share as to how they have come closer to the lord? i went on a graduation trip with my friends. we were on the beach one day and these three teens came up to us to talk about jesus well everyone else wasn't interested so they talked to me. they asked me questions and asked if i was saved. i said i didn't know so they began to talk to me about jesus, praying, and sins. i never before this trip prayed or asked for forgiveness. so as they were closing their discussion they said a little prayer that i would come towards the lord. the prayer touched me in a way so much that i never go a day now without praying and as each day goes by i feel closer to god.

I'm a Freemason. To be one you must believe in a Diety. Within the lodge, we are required to respect each others relegious and political beliefs. Whatever they are. We require this so that we can come together in peace since differences in relegious and political opinion have caused much strife throughout history. I'm proud to be a part of it personally, since we have found ways to come together to contribute in charitable ways to society. What is your impression of Freemasonry?
