This question isn't against Atheists. I like to leave them be as long as they live in their own country, Canada
No offense to Atheists intended. This is a theological question.

Why is everyone offended? I said no offense.
And do you think I'm trolling? I'm just an honest Christian girl with a theological query.

I can speak from experience. I am a Christian, and I am also the daughter of a Baptist minister, so I have a source for my questions. I had a friend that after many years, claimed to be an Atheist. I was put off at first, then I tried to do what I thought Jesus would have me do. I tried to show her that Jesus loves her...he just doesn't love her sin. I tried to be there so that she could see Jesus in my life, but it was always a difficult friendship. She became blatantly disrespectful against my beliefs and I had to draw a line. The bible says that light has no place with darkness. It also says that we are to be seperate. You are probably familiar with the passage about not being unequally yoked? You don't have to condemn them, but you don't have to partake in their friendship either. But, to answer the most important question...I don't see how you could go to hell for simply being friends with an Atheist. The only way that you would go to hell is if you weren't "born again".

Jeepers what a question.

Okay here goes, just supposing you are a person of the Christian faith okay, now since you are a Christian and Jesus was Jewish do you think you will go to Heaven since you are not a Hebrew like Christ was?

Is Noah a Christian? How about Abraham and Issac, were they Christians? How about John the Baptist was he a Christian?

Now since you are not (if you are not a Hebrew) and Heaven is filled with the Children of God do you think you will get in since you are not one of them?

In my opinion this is not a true theological question.

Please look up this scripture, ok? James 4:4, Proverbs 12:26, Psalm 1:1, 2 Cor 6:14, Matt 5:44, Prov 27:17, Eph 5:11, John 17:15, 1 Cor 13. ..... from these scripture you should know how to treat one another and how to pick friends. We should love all people but we should chose our friends wisely. Our closest friends should reflect Jesus since we become like who we hang around. Treat everyone with respect and love but you dont have to compromise and say their ways are right for peace sake. You either believe in God or not. You either reject Jesus or not. Who is the way the truth and the life? Jesus saves. Love rejoices in the truth. Love isnt being just kind and sweet, it is putting someones welfare above yours and telling the truth.

I think it looses cred. as a theological question when you label Canada an athiest country, I imagine that is opposed to christian USA. Of course as an athiest I would say no and from a Christian perspective also a no! In fact if you marry an athiest you will actually save them from hell. 1Cor 7:14

"For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you."

I consider myself a Christian, and I have many Atheist friends. And what do you mean "No offense to Atheists intended"? How is that not offensive. By the way, I'm a quarter French Canadian and I know a lot of Canadians who would find it offensive that for some reason you believe Canada is only comprised of Atheists.

And just because you say "No offense" doesn't make it any less offensive.

No, it is alright to be friends with everyone. You won't go to hell. When Jesus was on earth, he mixed more with the sinners and the tax-collectors than with the religious people. Christians are not instructed to live and mix only among themselves - otherwise, how are we to impact and touch lives for Christ? Mixing with and being friends with atheists is not a sin as long as we don't conformed or allow ourselves to be influenced by their thinking and thoughts - in fact, you should be the salt and light to them. However, if you find that by being friends with them, you are being drawn away from your beliefs and faith in God, then you need to re-evaluate yourself and take the necessary precautions to extricate yourself from the position of potential harm.

From my own experiences, I find that atheists are nice people, same as any other friends I have, just that they do not accept that there is a God. Your telling them to live in their own country, Canada, is to me a direct contradiction of your next statement "No offense to Atheists intended". First you whack them on the head with a four by two, and then you say, "no hurt or pain intended!". As a fellow Christian, I think you do owe our atheist friends out there an apology because what you wrote is not the Christian attitude that Christ taught - to love your neighbor as yourself.

Win the world for Christ - it's not going to be what we say but how we live that really matters!

Just a few questions girl. What makes you think that how you live your life now is better than how most atheists live? And how do you know your life style now won't send you to hell? I am religious but I won't mention which one because I don't feel it's really relevant. I just think it's funny how you are stereo typing and passing judgement all at the same time. I don't know a single person who is without sin and who has the power to pass judgement on anyone. Goodluck to you!

If this is a theological question, I'm Prince.

Please show to me in the Bible the prohibition against atheists and agnostics. And no dogma either!

You really believe that being around people with different beliefs are gonna affect you negatively. Why don't YOU make your own little country with your scared christian people so you won't have to be exposed to anyone that dosn't follow your belief system. You talk about ATHIESTS like they are a small group of people who want to force their beliefs on you, when its actually you who is forcing beliefs. There are heaps of athiests in the world, even in your neghbourhood and school. So go out into the world and discover that their are many religions, many belief systems and realise that people are people and they have the right to believe what they want to believe.

"...as long as they live in their own country, Canada" is kind of offensive. I live in the United States, and I have every right to, and I have no intention of moving to Canada (it's too cold for a Texan).

As for your question, I don't believe in hell, so I'm technically not qualified to answer it. However, if YOU believe you're going to go to hell if you're friends with atheists, I don't quite understand why any atheist would want to be your friend.
