Does anyone have a story they would like to share as to how they have come closer to the lord? i went on a graduation trip with my friends. we were on the beach one day and these three teens came up to us to talk about jesus well everyone else wasn't interested so they talked to me. they asked me questions and asked if i was saved. i said i didn't know so they began to talk to me about jesus, praying, and sins. i never before this trip prayed or asked for forgiveness. so as they were closing their discussion they said a little prayer that i would come towards the lord. the prayer touched me in a way so much that i never go a day now without praying and as each day goes by i feel closer to god.

one day i was questioning faith and everything so i asked him to give me a sunny day so i could be happy and everything the news and everything said it was gunna rain but sure enough it didnt it was one of the greatest days in Washington I've ever seen and I've lived her for 10 years

That's lovely. Here's one from me: When I was younger I was very dogmatic, and people at church were always saying things about the Spirit - how to feel it, how to get answers, etc. I had no idea how to get an answer from the Spirit, rather than just from what I understood of the Scriptures. I got used to feeling the Spirit, though, whenever I did something kind, or read my scriptures, or went to church, etc. Then one day I was in an Institute class (Bible study) and the teacher said something my brain immediately thought, "That's not right!" but at the same time that the teacher spoke, a warm, peaceful feeling came into my heart. It was the first time I had ever felt the Spirit witness the truth of something I didn't already believe in and it was the beginning of transferring my faith from my own understanding, to God's actual revelations.

I have so many it is hard to choose.
OK How about this one. Tis true and it happened to me.
I was prayed for by a famous man with a gift of healing. He prayed that my knees would get better. The next night I saw him standing alone after a healing meeting and went over to talk. He is elderly but has an excellent memory and remembered that I had asked for prayer the night before. He said to me right away " how are your feet?" I replied that it was my knees that we prayed about and that they were a little better.
He said "let's pray again". so we did.
As it turns out, I have worn $300.00 shoe inserts in my shoes for about 5 years at this point for plantars fasciata, and as long as I always wore my shoes with the inserts my feet were ok, but I could never go barefoot or do without the inserts. Some months later my feet were driving me crazy, achy WITH the inserts in. Finally out of desperation I took the inserts out and my feet are fine. They are healed. My knees are ok not perfect. But I believe that God told him that day that he was wanting to heal my feet and He did!

I recently prayer for a good friend that was going on a business trip. God let me know what to pray for. As it turned out, when she got back, I know the prayer was "right on" with what she went through. I know that I heard God, and he was faithful to answer.
This draws me closer, knowing that I have heard Him correctly.

I got closer toward him because of my family. Without them I wouldnt know what to do.
