Fellow Jews. Great in Torah. A little strict for me (Modern Orthodox) but great people, generally.

I lived around many Hasids in Brooklyn and I did not get a positive impression.

I think its to cult like...... they dont expose them self to society.... i lived among them for a short time.( I admit I am not sure if they were orthodox or Hasidic) I felt like they all looked down on me. They would often stair at me. They were always studying. The older girls would teach younger kids.

One of the older male jews would sneak away to get prostitutes. The older rabbis would make sure i was away from the girls. Strange..... I think people should be exposed to the world. So i dont approve.

i've read "the chosen" and "my name is asher lev". and hasids seem to be a strict and disciplined people. I would rather live next to hasids than quakers (based soley on the books of course).

They seem pretty cool. I have a Chassidic friend who lives in another country. Anyways, I saw some Chassidic Jews for the first time in my life earlier this month...pretty cool!
They also seem to be pretty determined about what they believe, etc.

Why do you really care what others think of you and your faith? It always bothers me to see people ask "so what do you think of -------"about their own religion. Its almost like they're not secure in their own faith. To answer your question, I didn't know to there was so many branches in the Jewish faith, so I have no opinion on it. God Bless

What I know, is what Jesus said 2000 years ago. Tradition and rituals are not of God in heaven, but of man and the faith is not as it was in the beginning. Holiness, comes when we follow our instincts to be good and merciful towards others but for centuries, too many to count, hebrew decendants segregate others as PART of the family of Lord in heaven. I am a disciple of "Amen" in Yezua, as it was 2000 years ago and one of his "priests." Humanity will never unite in love and peace as long as God is looked upon as a God who is no better BEHAVIORALLY than any common man. God can not be of WRATH, and also be of LOVE. He is either one or the other. Amen IS as he was 5000 years ago, loving, caring, compassionate and hates NO ONE......I am in Yezua (Jesus) and he is in me, and pray one day the world will see that FAITH has to CHANGE if mankind is to SURVIVE in it's beliefs of who God is for the God of wrath is the devil and has deceived many far too many centuries already.........I am sure in scripture you know who I "am...," for Daniel wept of my coming.....
