Did you know that little children can see into the spiritual realm? My Granddaughter talked to Jesus long before she ever went to Sunday School. She looked at a picture we have of Jesus all beat up with the crown of thorns and the American flag in the background. She told us that Jesus does not look like that any more, HE is OK now. This is a little 4 year old girl with Hydrosyphalis(sp?) at that time she was only two and a half.

I read some where in the bible (I don't remember where) that God will accept people into heaven even if they don't believe in him, if they are married to a person that does. It said something about the two becoming one in marriage, even in spirit. Why would God allow the nonbeliever/atheist into heaven?

Their argument that they are merely asking the saints to intercede for them as they would ask a friend or family member doesn't hold up, because you don't ask your friends or family by clasping your hands and bowing down before a picture or statue of them. When you ask a friend, you're not implying that their holiness caused God to answer your prayer, since that is base on the unbiblical concept of salvation by works rather than grace. Maybe Catholicism has a different definition of worship, but just because you arbitrarily change the definition doesn't make it true. If it wasn't worship, why would they be turning statues into sacred objects.

so apparently jesus is coming back...would anyone be likely to believe if a woman became pregnant through immaculate conception, today that is? would you be less likely to believe it's him depending on the race of the individual, or even the religion of the parents, or what if his parents are a lesbian couple, or what if jesus is born a girl? keep in mind jesus was a jew. so i'd say it's highly likely he could be born of any other religion. would you be likely to follow someone who called himself the messiah if say he were a black muslim, or an asian buddhist, or a mexican atheist?

So yea, a few friends and I were eating a quick lunch at McDonalds. I went up to get a refill and some old guy, about 65-70 starts rambling on about how my entire generation is going to hell. What should I have told him? I really wanted to say something that would make him angry, just to piss him off, but I couldn't really think of anything. (I realize some of you may AGREE with that guy...but if you do, please don't answer). What would YOU have said if you were my age?

ANTICHRIST
This word means “against (or instead of) Christ.” It occurs a total of five times, singular and plural, all of them in two of John’s epistles.
The subject was not new among the Christians when John wrote his letters (c. 98 C.E.). First John 2:18 states: “Young children, it is the last hour, and, just as you have heard that antichrist [Gr., an•ti'khri•stos] is coming, even now there have come to be many antichrists; from which fact we gain the knowledge that it is the last hour.” John’s statement shows that there are many individual antichrists, though all together they may form a composite person designated “the antichrist.” (2Jo 7) The use of the expression “hour” as referring to a period of time, either relatively brief or of undetermined length, is exemplified in other writings of John. (See Joh 2:4; 4:21-23; 5:25, 28; 7:30; 8:20; 12:23, 27.)

Hello, all:

Thanks for taking time to read this question.

I have treatment-resistant depression, and tonight the black dogs are biting particularly hard. I feel like everything is coming apart, emotionally speaking. At the same time, I have to work all night on a comic art project that's due tomorrow morning.

Any form of encouragement -- some words of support, a calming thought, an interesting link, a prayer, or a joke -- would be very much appreciated. Do you have some to offer?

I'll be checking back periodically over the course of the night. Again, thanks for taking time to read, and my heartfelt thanks to all who respond.

Or do you believe in an afterlife of another sort? Where is it? In another reality? Another world? In our minds? Or are we incapable as humans to even assume a location? Just share your thoughts and grounds for them

I love when this happens. Everything seems clearer and almost surreal. I feel so inspired. I grow so much as a person. It feels like this is what living should be all the time. But if it was, how would it be special?

I went to see John Edwards. I know for a fact that he is real and not a fake. He told me things that nobody could have known unless he was a true medium. I felt no evil only comfort. Is it wrong to go to mediums who say they can speak with the dead.

Is it possible to love someone yet hate something that is a intrinsic part of who they are, because it is a "sin" in your eyes?

Is that really "love"?

Does that type of love have any meaning?

Appreantly, they showed up 2000 years ago and thought it was time for a new religion to help man find peace amongst themselves. Sadly, they discovered this backfired as well.....

The Bible Itself provides proof of their exsistance..... READ FOR YOURSELVES!!!!

Hebrews 11:13
… And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth.

1 Peter 2:11
Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.

Ephesians 2:19
Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens...
