They can't do a thing. All they can do is preach and quote the bible.

I wouldn't say they lack faith. What Jesus said was a metaphor. The faith to move mountains stats from a desire as small as a mustard seed. To some degree ,the men you mentioned did enough for the people that look up to them and some went awry. I wouldnt exactly put Pat Robertson in an esteemed list.

Yes, you literally move a mountain with your faith. When Jesus said this He spoke to a physical fig tree and it withered from the roots. But moving a mountain by faith is based on if you really have a need for that mountain to be moved. Faith addresses an issue in your life that you need. I remember how it rained a whole week at my job and I had to walk home in the rain. I prayed to God that it would stop raining and it did. Because I had a need. Before that, people laughed at me because they thought I would get soaking wet, but it did'nt happen.

The Bible states that without faith it is impossible to please God,or to be saved(we are saved by Grace through faith).
Yes,one could literally move a mountain with faith.
One could pray for a dime and have a dime appear in his hand also(this actually happened to me)...have not moved a mountain yet,but have not needed to have one moved.....I did however need a single dime one day....

Everything is made out of GOD's Faith.
When you command a mountain to move, the Faith obeys and the dirt and rocks go along for the ride, they have to.
Faith is a higher law then physical law.
Ditto........

No unless God gives you the power which I highly doubt. It means more down the lines that try you best and nothing will be a impossible to get done.

No it would take many huge bullldousers and time and money but what jesus's statement meant to me is just the power of postitive thinking ....he was encouraging people by instilling confidence in them. the mountain is a metaphor for difficult accomplishment.

A Christian with a load of dynamite, backhoes, cats & trucks could very well move a mountain. Have you never driven through the rockies? Don't you believe christians laid those roads & dug those tunnels?

Hokay, the passage is *contextual* not *literal*. No, you can't *literally* move a mountain with faith. Now a Christian with enough dynamite, that's a totally different proposition.

It does not necessarily refer to a literal mountain, but rather obstacles. Implying that no situation is unchangeable if you have enough faith in God.
