For Catholics specifically, it has to deal with the ability to learn Theology in school.
Secondly, Catholic High Schools have a very well-earned and historical reputation for running top-notch educational facilities from kindergarten to the University circuit. It is far from an excuse to color everything in a particular religion; they are very serious about promoting a strong cirriculum that challenges students. In fact, my summer reading list was composed of 16 of the top 20 most banned books in America. Trust me, they're not out to shelter the students.

based on that uniform, go for public school, why would you want to go to a catholic school anyway? i mean you lose an elective an have to take a religion course, theyre are lots of great electives in high scool, dont lose one because of religion, and public high school tend to get out their more and be more involved in the community, catholic schools always seem more seculded. and a public school will have more diversity, you will meet people from all different types of familys, cultures religions and socail classes. catholic school have much less diversity because everyone has more or less the same lifestyle

because it allows the catholic student an oppurtunity to grow in his/her faith, possibly, no be so embarressed of faith in public and with friends, and to live in a community that shares a single faith, maybe easier to make friends and stuff.

I am Protestant, but this will apply. Public schools can't teach anything about God, or Christianity. God charges parents to train children properly. We are responsible (to God) for training our children.
