David, the Bible was given to us for our mental, physical and spiritual well being. While it does not mention pot specifically it does tell us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, the very hairs of our heads are numbered and we have at least one gift. Your body is the temple for the Holy Spirit and you are suppose to take care of it. I am well acquainted with people that have been on pot and those that use to be on pot. I will tell you the ones that quit are so much easier to be around and they seem to be happier. They are not as anxious or frantic when they cannot get high anymore. It is great. Why don't you get a natural high with a good spiritual life, good proper food, and by being a blessing to those around you. Don't be a taker but be a giver and your life will be ever so much happier. Even if it is just a smile or a pat on the back to someone who needs it you may be surprised at how rewarding it is for you. Also the Bible tell us we must obey the laws of the land so therefore you cannot smoke pot since it is against the laws of the land. I hope you are not already hooked and can walk away from it. The Bible tell us that those that will be saved are those that are overcomers. Overcomers of what? Ourselves. Mmm

The bible says, in the new testament, that it is not what goes into your body that makes a person, it's what comes from their body through word and action.

The bible also says to follow the laws of the land.

I believe that you should try to find out what you believe is right. It is your life don't let a book decide who you are.

I spent years of my life partying and smoking pot. I don't regret those years, and I still party occasionally, but I am happier with my life now, because I have interests other than just getting high.

I personally don't think there is anything wrong with smoking pot, I smoke occasionally.

First of all God loves you where you are at, but he wants the best for you. Marijuanna is a gateway drug and many people move from pot to strong drugs which can be very addictive and harmful. I have had good friends who thought it wouldn't be a problem for them and now they are struggling with broken marriages, children out of wedlock, and lost jobs. Biblically the Bible gives us examples of intoxicated people making poor choices. Gen 19, Lev. 10:9, 1 Kings 20, Proverbs 20:1, Isa 5:11 and 28:7, and Rom 14:21 all reveal God's extreme dislike of mind altering substances. It can easily be summed up with Eph 5:18 "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit"

Smoking pot may not be against anyone's religion, but it is against the law in the US.

Render unto Cesar what is Cesar's and render unto God what is God's.

Follow the law of the land and the law of God and when God tells you to obey Him and the law of the land what do you think?

Breaking the law of man is the same as breaking the law of God.

Ask a cop and see what he says then ask your spiritual Leader and see what he says.

Why don't you worry more about what God has to say to you about it, than what the status quo is in modern christianity the religion..whydont you pray about it. The Holy Spirit is sent to us, to counsel us and that's the voice you need to obey!

It's illegal. It intoxicates you if your tolerance is low. If your tolerance is high, you have an addiction. It's hard to justify substance use inside of Christianity. It really does not fly. It discredits the faith. Arouses cries of hypocrisy.
