I am a Christian and have been for a number of years, but for the first time I realised that I had no idea how long Jesus went through His trial before His cruxifiction.

So basically how many days was it from His arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane to being cruxified on the cross at Golgotha. When you read the Gospels it is not very clear. The only thing that is clear is what happened in between, going to Pilate, going to Herod, going back to Pilate - and was flogged, and Jesus was also imprisoned during this time. Was it all done in one day? Or did it happen over several days? The only time span we do know, and is very clear in the Bible is Christ was cruxified then He rose 3 days later.

Only serious and productive, nonjudgemental answers only please. Thank you

Two big issues I've been presented with at a very young age were over evolution and homosexuality.

In regard to evolution, I've taken classes, and been to seminars, and I admit, there's enough evidence there to not discredit it.
So can a Christian accept evolution? Because honestly, yes, I'm starting to accept certain evolutionary ideas.

Homosexuality:
I've been told by my parents/religious figures since childhood that homosexuals are not normal and homosexuality is a sinful choice (and yes, my "role models" have called them far worse things"
But, in my more recent research, I'm starting to lean more towards sexual orientation being biological, if this is the case, why would the Bible condemn homosexuals? Yes, I've read the passages.

An analogy I can think of is left-handed people.

Would you say that they are both congregations of the same church, sect, denomination, religion, etc.?

If yes, by what standard are they the same?

If no, then why are there those today that teach different things than the original church taught; yet they say they are still the same church that Jesus built?

If we teach a different and changing doctrine, doesn’t that make us a different church? To be the original church, shouldn’t we teach the original doctrine?

It's called the Big Brain Drain. We already have to 'buy' legitimate scientists from Europe and Asia to do the real scientific work to keep our industries moving in the right direction.

But the current world economy, and the contempt that Americans have for science make it less appealing for them when the EU, Russia and Asia are experiencing economic growth and they can stay with their families.

I thank justsomeguy564 for this.

Can we finally wake up and realize how much danger we are in by allowing the ignorance of some religious fanatics to be influencing our governent and our laws!!!!

Here I present you my mathematical equation on why Mr.XXX here is the Anti-Christ.

If you take his birthday, plus five, minus six, divide by eleven, plus 42, and see, 666. He IS the Anti-Christ.

"Um, why must there be the five, six, eleven and 42?"

HUSH, my Mathematical equation is perfect. Doomsday is tommorow!

Well anyway, why are people obsessed with the End of the World thing?

I thought religion just said that "live a good life, do good to others. Yes, there will be the end of the world but for God's sake just don't hurt anyone innocent."

I read this is the DaVinci Code, and I didn't believe it since the book is fiction. But I heard from many people (Christians included!) that Constantine did edit the Bible. Anyone know?

Many people think that alien's are visiting Earth to harm us and take over our planet. People also think that it is the Devil trying to decieve us and make us think the worst. Well, it certainly has made some idiot's believe that. Why would intelligence much greater than our's travel all that way to start a fight? We are so narrow minded it boil's my blood. Why does everythin to some people have to alway's be negative and about war? Ever thought they simply might just be tryin to communicate with us in a peaceful way. If UFO's are alien's from another planet, I think they come and go every so often and don't stay because they get fed up with our ignorance because were not ready to appreciate them yet. In my personal belief I think that God is dancing for us in the skie's and trying to entertain us, not scare us. Wake up people, stop being negative and maybe one day we'll understand what UFO'S REALLY ARE!

Creation Museum. They represent a third wave of modern biblical creationist thinking, one that says hard-core science proves the Genesis account of creation.

Mainstream scientists say that because it can sound plausible to non-specialists, it could be a particularly formidable threat to public acceptance of Darwinian evolution as it has been taught for more than a century, which Americans already reject by a ratio of almost 2-to-1, an NBC News poll found in March.

This cannot be true!!!!! Are we really that stupid here?

Even if there is just one person (A) who has bad karma and is destined to pay for it and there has to be a circumstance or another person (B) to make it happen for person A to pay for the bad karma. In that way, does it mean that person B might have already planted a bad karma? This seems to create a vicious cycle that karma will never end and hence how can the wish of Aryavalokitesvarya be fulfilled?
