There are five relationship in this material world. 1. Parenthood 2. friendship 3. Conjugal love 4. servant 5. neutrality.
These five relationship exist here because there are present eternally with God. That means that God has no origin and no cause, but He is the origin and cause of everything, yet if someone wants to love God as a friend, as a mother or father He reciprocates in that loving relationship.

Mary, the mother of Jesus is the mother of God because Jesus is true God and true man.

Jesus has 2 natures one human and one divine.
You cannot be the mother of a nature, you are the mother of a person. Jesus is a Divine person, the second person of the Holy Trinity
That's why Mary can in truth be called the mother of God.

God the Father? He has no physical body. He didn't need a mother and a Father because,He is and always has been he and always will be. God IS the creator!

In Hebrew; God can be singular or plural (depending on the term). If you are referring to God the Father; he has no parents. If you are refering to Jesus (Son of God), I presently refer to her as Understanding.
