You take off your shoes and socks.

The priest pours water over your feet and dries them with a towel.

Every deacon, priest, bishop, and even the Pope washes the feet of some of the people they serve on Holy Thursday as a reflection of Jesus' washing of the Apostles' feet at the Last Supper and Jesus' teaching about service.

It is a good and humbling experience for everyone involved.

I had my feet washed tonight and I washed the feet of four other people.

With love in Christ.

The priest will probably just pour water over your feet and then dry them with a towel. No big deal.
