no one has an excuse. God provided us a conscience to judge.
Romans 2:12-16 says:
"For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified; for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things contained in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves, who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them) in the day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel."

Well, you're being pretty vague, but I believe that if you are truely ignorant of whatever sin, then no, I guess you haven't sinned. However, if you are that worried about what you said, I would probably treat it as a sin and make restitution and repent.
I guess what I'm trying to say is a sin is a sin, but whether or not YOU sinned also depends on your knowledge and/or ignorance.

If you don't know something is a sin when you do it, it's not a sin. But when as you mature and learn that something done in the past was a sin, then you are accountable for your past behavior. Be repentant at that time. God will forgive you!

No.
If you do not feel convicted and did not know it was a sin it could not be sin. If you find out that it is then you are now accountable. LOL It's weird I know, but trying to explain it Paul's way would take a lot of space.

If you thought it might be a sin, then it was sin for you. You need to follow your conscience. Sometimes you can be wrong about things, but you need to try to do what you believe is right. You also need to work hard to find out if you are mistaken about things. That is, you need to get better at understanding right and wrong so that you don't accidentally do things that are displeasing to God. God knows that you don't understand everything now and He has patience with you as you learn and grow. You just need to keep a tender heart about doing the right thing and God will work with you.

If you want to get medievally "Catholic" about it, there are three conditions for serious (or "mortal") sin:
1) It has to be wrong.
2) You have to know it is wrong.
3) You do it anyway.
Under those rules, it is not a serious sin. Sin is not "crime". An ignorant conscience does not sin.

yes. It is because of the people that came up with other religions that others don't know if it is sin or not. If everyone was a Christian everyone would know if it was a sin or not. If you think about it is like Adam and how we cursed us with sin. Because of one man others will suffer.

I don't remember exactly where in scripture I'm quoting from, and it may be a *slight* paraphrase, but somewhere it says that the person who knows the good he ought to do, and does not do it, sins. Jesus also said that the Pharisees were guilty of sin because they had seen and heard the truth and rejected it. He said if they had not seen and heard it, they would not be guilty. (I'm paraphrasing; I know the quote from Jesus can be found in the gospel of John.)

A sin is a sin . This is why I always ask for forgiveness of the sins I commit unknowingly.
