True relativists believe that there is no such thing as right or wrong, it is all relative to the situation and the person. Every person's beliefs are right for them, so no one else can judge. So, does this mean that we cannot say it is wrong or bad for suicide bombers to kill themselves or others, or that serial killers are all right, because they believe that what they are doing is ok? If we follow this reasoning, can't we also not make laws any more, because this is dictating what is right and wrong, and there is no such thing?

“I have noticed that a man who has BUT ONE WIFE, and is inclined to that doctrine, soon begins to WITHER AND DRY UP, while a man who goes into PLURALITY looks fresh, YOUNG AND SPRIGHTLY. Why is this? Because God loves that man, and because he honors his word. Some of you may not believe this, but I not only believe it but I also know it. FOR A MAN OF GOD TO BE CONFINED TO ONE WOMAN IS SMALL BUSINESS,... I DO NOT KNOW WHAT WE SHOULD DO IF WE HAD ONLY ONE WIFE APIECE.” (Deseret News, April 22, 1857)

Everyone seems to be on a feeding frenzy to imitate a particular life style that they see on the TV and in magazines. That gas guzzling 4x4, and giant plasma TV thats almost bigger than the living room wall, the dolce and gabbana dress that Paris Hilton was wearing, the surfboard abs and dazzling teeth.

We are consuming so much our rubbish is literally bursting out of Landfill sites, and our food and water is full of chemicals and pollutants from all the industrial processes that take place to maintain and expand our ever demanding lifestyles. In the pursuit of our own desires have we forsaken the community spirit that once bound our communities together? Is this really progress ? Or the beginning of the demise of the human civilisation?

I was baptized in the Catholic church when I was a baby and around second grade I received communion. However, I did not participate in confermation. I do not attend the Catholic church anymore, but was thinking about going back. Am I considered Catholic or not sense I did not have confermation?

I don't mean any offence to any religion, but if saints bodies don't decay.. http://members.aol.com/ccmail/incorruptbodies.htm
http://www.geocities.com/goody.geo/artgallery.html
http://members.aol.com/olphlibrary/specialpeople.html
http://www.traditioninaction.org/bev/bev12-31-2001.htm (the paragraph of Jerusalem, Jerusalem is quite interesting to me)

It makes me think that prophets are even better than saints, therefore their bodies' shouldn't be perishable...

I researched and found Prophet Mohammed's tomb is actually in Medina.. his body lay there... where is the bodies' of Jesus and Moses... When Jesus was crucified, where is his body - corps - buried!
Use LOGIC with me, so don't cite from the bible or whatever... which brings me to this:
Why do Christians have so many bibles... Islam have only one Koran... Judaism have one torat...

And to Buddhist, is buddha God to you, or is he a messenger, or a spiritual teacher...

I've seen quite a few folks call themselves 'pagan', and am interested in what it means to be a pagan (I get the generic idea, interested in specifics).

All any of them had to say was that Jesus did not rise from the dead and they would of been set free and treated like kings.
Did they die for a dead man?

christians constantly judge judge and judge the "unsaved". why are they so sure of life, when they havent even experienced mans way. they say what man does is a sin. man doesnt need a god to tell him what to do. he has right from wrong already programmed into his mind. violent video games, bud, alcohol, sex. these are things natural for people to do, why would they exist if not for entertainment. christians jump to the bible for an answer, "because they are satans temptations for us", that makes a could point for a written piece of psychology to manipulate our minds from living naturally. i believe theres a god, look around you, but religion is over rated and way to constricted on mans true instincts. its what a well taught man or woman wrote long ago. and theres so many things in there its hard to prove them wrong, for one, who would bother to write a book to prove it wrong, humans also get lazy. who else thinks like me..its okay to have a doubt and consider this true, christ 4gives

I have been to churches where I have heard people who believed they were speaking in tongues and I read about it in the scriptures but I still do not really understand. I read Acts 2:4 and 1 Corinthians 12-14. I have heard in some churches that they do not believe the signs and wonders were continued after the authority of the New Testament was established. Do any of you believe in tongues and can you help me to understand more about it?

I'm very interested in studying Tibetan Buddhism but the closest center to me in an hour away. Is it possible for me to study successfully on my own by reading books and attempting to practice on my own? Or will I need a teacher/tutor to guide me in the right direction?

I'm not that familiar with all the aspects of Paganism, but I do know that there are several groups of Gods and Goddesses that different practitioners follow.

I was wondering how some of the Pagans here chose their particular deities -- whether it has to do with the particular rituals/practices or if those deities just appeal to you over all the others.

He judged us by the simple fact of Goodness...or trying to be a good person?? What if religion had nothing to do with it...as a matter of fact...those of us who could stand alone and still be good people got extra points and those who joined a religion got punished??? I ask because I always hear how those who believe will be saved...what if the opposite where true??? Those who questioned would be saved.
I mean we who have no religion and try to do Good..do it just because...we don't expect anything in return. We don't pray and ask God for anything..we just keep trying to do it on our own??
Just a question??? No offense ment.

ok, im not a christian, and i know the seven deadly sins, and heres a question, why are they so deadly?
1. Luxuria (later turned to lust) is it not wrong to live life to the fullest, and NOT think these thoughts?

2. Gula (gluttony) if you are not greedy, you will not survive, if you give everything away, you will suffer poverty, is there a way to live?

3.Avarita (greed) is there a difference between Gula and Avarita?

4. Acedia (Sloth) this is the only one of the sins i agree with, if you dont work for your pay/food, then you do not deserve to have it.

5. Ira (wrath) Isnt it proven that with-holding anger is bad for your health? and if you ventilate it in a healthy way, its still a sin!!

6. Invidia (envy) envy is something that is easily avoided, seclude your self away from the envied.

7. Superbia (pride) this is the one i am most upset with, dont your parents tell you to "take pride in your own work"? Why is this a sin? Is pride really that bad??

I think Christian beliefs are all on the same scale. Some are just further up the scale then other. I think christians should watch this and then ask themselves if they are really so different than the people in this film. Also realize that non-christians probably look at you the same way that you may look at those in this film.
