I think Christian beliefs are all on the same scale. Some are just further up the scale then other. I think christians should watch this and then ask themselves if they are really so different than the people in this film. Also realize that non-christians probably look at you the same way that you may look at those in this film.

paperbac - Maybe I generalized too much. I know there are many differences in belief systems. I was more stating that followers of christianity have the same fundamental beliefs. When one group chooses to do the things in the movie I don't think another xian group has any right to have cause against it. Because they are on the same scale, but choose to worship in different ways. If anything I commend the people like those in the film for being more true to their beliefs than most xians. Compared to them, I would say most xians land in the "luke-warm" category which even the bible speaks against.

I look on all xian beliefs the same. the luke warm and the fundamentalists.
If a "regular" christian looks on those in this film with contempt or disgust, then they can relate to how atheism views most religious teachings.

I've already seen enough of it on YouTube to know that this Jesus Camp is really sick. Typically going after children, shades of Muslims terrorist martyrs you can note. Its quite disturbing that the parents actually send their kids there.

Personally if those people even thought of looking at anyone in my family I'd take them all out, shades of The Punisher.

Watched it last night in fact. A disturbing documentary to be sure.

However, I would dispute your belief that all Christian beliefs are the same. A great many Christians respect the religious choices of others, and feel that it's impossible to mix faith and politics without faith getting sullied in the process.

So rather than be intellectually lazy and just accuse all Christians of being the robotic zealots you saw in the movie, try being open minded yourself and bother to learn more about denominations such as Quakers, Mennonites, Episcopalians, Lutherans, and more.

Christians are by no means all Jesus Campers, just like they are by no means all Westboroites or Van Impes.
