Sometimes you say animals have souls. Other times you say they have no souls? What's with the indecisiveness?

On September 11, 2001, 3,000 people were killed by terrorists, we spent millions of dollars trying to catch them on September 11, 2001 over 400,000 babies were killed because of abortion, yet not a word, same with September 12, 13, 14, etc.

Shouldn't the money go towards helping babies?

I know it has to do with the Jewish tradition of Passover, but I've been hearing it around lately and on television just being said maybe as a sign of congratulations.

Another Aside: We, the Pagans, the Atheists, and many others, show more cordiality and logic than most of the Christians who post here. In fact we are the ones who truly represent Religion & Spirituality and yet we do not demand that you leave this forum as some of your posters shamefully say to us. Your Rebe cannot be proud at what his followers have wrought.

My husand and I are from a large family on both sides and my question is why do people that we are related to think we should have to view things they way they do? My relative breathes for her gandkids and that is fine.
But KNOWING full and dam* well we could not have kids she says to us you should get involved with your niece and nephews more. But just because she gets the privlidge of being a grandma does not mean my husband and I have to jump up and down and whisitsle dixie.

Why do people in families insist that you have to share in thier every joy and trumph? I am happy for my realtive I truly am and I ahve come to terms and accepted the things I cannot change.
I feel very strongly there is always a sibling or an in law that does get favored, worhsipped or esteemed more than
the other kids how as a christian whould I handle this and what can I do to be a better witness? What is a good way to handle insenstive people who truly have no clue about certaint issues?

Many protestant religions do not recognize the Mormons as a "true faith". Are they willing to have a president that is from a "false faith"?

Yet you adore the FSM who you also don't believe in?

Where is the logic here?

"Suppose you found your brother in bed with your wife, an put a javelin through both of them, you would be justified, and they would atone for their sins, and be received into the kingdom of God. I would at once do so in such a case; and under such circumstances, I have no wife whom I love so well that I would not put a javelin through her heart, and I would do it with clean hands."

If you're right,, in the end, nothing matters. The sun will expand and burn the earth to a cinder millions of years from now. The universe will peter out (heat death) or collapse (the Big Crunch) billions of years from now. If you're right, who I am ceases to exist the moment I die. Look at the dinosaurs. What impact did they have? None. The lived for millions of years and then died. The end. That's what will happen to us. So what's the point? What's the purpose of life? If you're right and I'm wrong, then why do my beliefs matter so much to you?

Why does God let us fall in love and the one we love doesnt even love you. All my life I have tried to run away from love but now it has finally caught up to me and it hurts like hell that the person might not love me also.

I had a close friend who was a Christian that decided, unfortunately, to end his life recently. I have heard many claims from that suicides do not go to heaven because they cannot ask forgiveness for that sin, as they are dead after committing it. What does the Bible say, this has been really bothering me to hear everyone say that this person is in hell right now.

“The ONLY MEN WHO BECOME GODS, even the Sons of God, are those WHO ENTER INTO POLYGAMY.”(Journal of Discourses, Vol. 11, page 269)

Converts did you/ do you get alot of criticism from your family?
My family is outraged even more so then when I "became" an agnostic. It's so hard to go on but, I have faith in God that they'll except me... one day.

Also may I ask why you converted?

and one more question:

Before your conversion were you lead to believe misguided things about catholicism?
