No John List was not a model christian.
One of the ten commandments states you shouldnt kill anyone. He also did not send his family directly to heaven unless they knew and believed in Jesus Christ who died for their sins.
What John List did was sinful and downright crazy. He is an example of why christians have a bad name.
If you believe in the bible, you believe in all of it not just parts. If you believe something then you dont just say it, you do it.
Last, an actress in itself is not a sinful career. Some actresses act sinfully but there are christians who are actresses/actors and will not perform in anything that depicts something sinful.

You could argue that every time is a sinful time. People don't really change with the times. It's whether or not the express what they do that changes. As for the murder thing, definitly not. If a person wants to abstain from sin, then they will. That's the whole point of free will.

Christians are taught to die to offer oneself for the sake a loved one. What he did is the opposite of what should a Christian be. His brain was damaged by the sickness he brought to his family.
