It's not that you aren't welcome, you are. But I'm curious as to why so many Atheists hang out here? Are you trying to teach that believers are delusional, or what? And if so, why does it matter to you? If there is no God, then what does it hurt if someone believes or doesn't believe? If we're wrong, what have we lost? And what do you have to offer us that is better? A lack of any hope for something better than this world has to offer?

The JW are visting me and they love their knowledge but have no testimony and no conversion story. I want to know what the history of the church is, as far as I know a guy started up a bible class and it got popular and so he made it into a religion and they use knowledge to try and `prove` their religion and why other religions are wrong. The witness who is visiting me said that `more than testimony, knowledge is more important, but dont the scriptures tell us the opposite? Sure knowledge is great and helps but we need to know from the bottom of our hearts that the religion is true. Anyway can any Witness please tell me what the religion teaches of its own history and the importance of sharing/having a personal testimony. Thanks.

In church my pastor was speaking of the need to have an equally yoked partner...I was wondering, how I would be able to tell if I am with a partner that is equally yoked? Does this refer to our religious belief being similar?
If you are with this (equally yoked) person, do you stand a better chance of succeeding in a healthy relationship?

I've spoken with several adults, REAL adults here in Y/A R&S about the insults, bashing and everything else, here's what they say:

"We don't really care about them, let them say all they want. Won't change my faith even for a little bit. You see when people insult or bash, it's probably because they are insecure about their faith, they believe that if they can prove the other religion is wrong, theirs is right.

Skewed logic, but it happens. We don't even bother to bash back either, because of the same reason. I have strong faith in my religion, I have a deep understanding of my religion instead of those who bash, so why do I bother?

There's no use in telling them that their understanding is flawed, because their mind is already set to bringing you down, no matter what you say they'll ignore, no matter how wrong they get they'll twist their words or change the subject.

The best I could do is calmly explain that what they say is wrong, present true information and just-

Does it matter who's Religion is right or wrong?
Or are you missing the main point?

Many nowadays fight over religion! But they are missing the big Picture! "The Teaching!!!"

I have did a brief research a numbers of religion Christian, Islam, Buddhism, Taoism...

Ever wonder why is there this common practice Burning of Offerings!.... Coindence?....

Ever wonder why the general concept of all religious teaching is somehow very similair? Coindence?....

How the people in the olden days without internet, telephone nor any form of communication
technologies. Manage to harness this similiar concept of teaching through out the world?......
Coincidence Again?...

I believe there is only one GOD!

And he is always trying his best to send down angels to guide us in the path of the light!
For he desire us to follow his teachings and join him in Heaven.

You guys agree?

Seriously, I am not here to ridicule or belittle you're religion in anyway.. but I do find alot of the bible hard to swallow, are these events actually meant to have happened or are they metaphores? they explain so little and are dated in this day and age, do you think if the bible was released today people would actually believe it or file it away next to the latest harry potter novel?

In the movie "Armageddon", about that giant asteroid that was gonna hit earth, Bruce Willis exploded himself just to save humanity from that thingy.

So, does it count as suicide?
If yes, would God have forgiven him for saving humanity?

The claim is easily the height of absurdity.

Many Christians will accept the premise out of some combo of wishful thinking and cowardice while muslims will offer the insanity like a hunter baiting his hook.

If being Christian or Muslim meant nothing more than believing in one God, then, and only then could it be said that they believed in the same one God.

Now, if you've ever read the bible and quran then you know that there are hundreds of pages of totally different versions of this schitzo God. Differences so profound that total hatred and war directly results from it.

So, if this is the 'same God' then he is one sick SOB. Of course, its muslims who believe that God kept testing out new religions until he finally got it right with Islam, but many pathetic Christians accept this absurdity with the infamous expression 'well at least they believe in one god'...as if believing in some polar opposite bloodthirsty satangod was better than rejecting all of it.

There are many variations of Hell, i have seen at least 3 types. i have heard testimony of hell versions and the different versions of them.
So why is there a Hell, when God says of Himself there is no darkness and that He Loves all of us?
the answer in my opinion is simple, its becacuse in Justice God sends people to Hell that deserve to be justifiably punished! Most people that are repentant and do good works of righteousness dont go to hell, Basically only the unrepentant and criminals go to hell.
what is your opinion?

If you follow a god that says you will go to hell if you do not seek him with all your heart then what makes him so great?
Wouldnt you want a God who would take care of the problem people instead of casting the problem people into hell.

It seems that so-called Christians will go out of their way to ignore Christ's teachings and pick and choose verses out of the Old Testament to fit their agendas (gay bashing, demeaning other religious beliefs, etc.). They would be wise paying attention to his words, like "Turn the other cheek", "Love thy neighbor as yourself", and the biggee, "Ye who is without sin, cast the first stone!" And this is from a former Christian who now follows the Wiccan religion because I got sick of all the hypocrisy.

WHY USA has so many JEWISH people ? But says GOD BLESS USA?
