Shaolt20- I would like to hear your vision.
Abel- Wonderful information! I lean toward pre-trib, but prepare for mid or post. I have to say, the reasons I lean toward pre, are that His wrath is not for us. It is for those who reject Jesus, and also in Matthew 24, it says two will be in one field, one will go up to Him and one will not; I am not here to argue the point, as I do not know when, only God does. I just wantpeople to beaware that it is near, even at the doors.

Sun- You are absolutely right, and I agree with you 100%. Lets pray they wake up!

Not much. I've read the Left Behind Series but I hardly consider that a likely representation. Last year I wrote my own version... well I would tell the story but I really am afraid of it now because a year ago it was meant more as just my own little twist, but now I actually fear that my version may be more prophetic than I thought.

I, too have been studying alot about Prophecy in the last few yrs and it's really opened up my eyes! Current events are just falling into place like a puzzle. I think everyone should study Revelation and Daniel. When I know what the future holds, I can know how to live today. I lean towards pre-trib, but prepare for mid or post trib. How about you? Matt 24 is referring to the 2nd Coming's signs, not the Rapture. The Rapture is imminent, meaning it could happen at any moment, I believe.

Most of what you will read about the end times are pre-millennial views: the view that Christ's return will usher in a future millennium of Messianic rule mentioned in the book of Revelation before the final judgment. The believers of this doctrine also hold to the notion of a Rapture of the righteous beforehand.

Others hold that there will be only one second coming of Christ, at the time of the Final Judgment.

Then there are mixtures involving the views of the seven year tribulation and whether it is happening now, occurs later, etc.

These doctrines all fall under the general heading known as the study of end times, or eschatology.

For explanations of the various eschatological beliefs see: http://www.religioustolerance.org/millenni.htm

I am a Amillennialist. I believe we are currently living in the Millennium and in the Tribulation period. Events described in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 and in most of the book of Revelation have already happened. To me the Antichrist is figurative and not a real person. I believe that the Kingdom of God is today present in the world through the presence of the heavenly reign of Christ, the Bible, the Holy Spirit and Christianity. Both good and evil continues in the world until the current Church Age ends suddenly when Christ returns to the sky above the earth. Then the Rapture immediately occurs. The Redeemed are transported to heaven where they will adopt spiritual bodies. The rest of humanity will be condemned at this time to eternal punishment. The world will be abandoned. History is no more.

The rapture, or the coming of Christ, is the next great event on God's calendar. The Bible speaks of it in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18. When it will occur, we don't know, other than the fact that it will be soon. Only those who have received Christ in their hearts will take part in it. Even though the word "rapture" does not appear in the KJV of the Bible, or most others, it is taken from the Latin Vulgate. There in the passage I mentioned before it says that those who are alive and well will be "snatched away." The Latin word for that is "raptus" from where we get the English word rapture. Those who are left behind will have to face a 7-year tribulation period. There is actually a lot in Scripture that talks about this great event, but space does not allow for the entire explanation. I recommend a book written by Chuck Smith entitled: "Where will you be when millions are SNATCHED AWAY?"

I know there isn't going to be a so called secret rapture that some talk about (Luke 17:24
For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.)That certainly will not be secret. It also says in the bible God is not the author of confusion and if we were all taken in the blink of an eye there would be alot of confusion on the earth from people disappearing from vehicles and things read this article about the truth of the rapture

If you read Matthew 24 and understood what Jesus said than you already know the time of the rapture read some of revelation to get a few more in depth details.

I don't consider myself to be an expert, but I know quite a lot. I run a group on yahoo that deals with end time Bible prophecy. Members can ask or answer any questions. In addition, we have comprehensive resources available for research and study.

What rapture are you speaking of? A pre-trib rapture or the end of the world rapture?

I know most christians will be goats.

Mat 25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
Mat 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Mat 25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Mat 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did [it] not to one of the least of these, ye did [it] not to me.
Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment
