If you agree that religion was 'born' some time in our evolutionary past, what do you think the favored [Darwinian] advantage of religion was? Or do you think relgion is a by-product of some other favored trait in our psychological makeup?

When does my personal faith start to become your problem, and vice versa?

Muslims in Minnesota are trying to practice "freedom of religion" and denying others freedom in the process. At Target, Muslim cashiers won't scan pork products. Muslim cabdrivers have refused to carry passengers with alcohol (sealed and bottled) or seeing-eye dogs.

The Workplace Freedom of Religion Act is being debated (again) in Congress. If passed, it may give these workers a legal leg to stand on.

Do these workers have the right to refuse to offer service based on their religion? Should the customers' rights prevail? Where *do* you draw the line?

Discuss....

Since you dont believe in God,does that mean when the goverment makes RFID chips mandatory in order to buy, sell,or trade, that ya'll will be the first ones in line to bow down and pledge your loyalty to goverment&recieve the mark of the beast?

And in all honesty, that not hard to see how it will happen;terrorist will attack a couple more times probably,U.S. goverment&other goverments will unite into one world goverment, then the anti-christ(who will no doubt have supreme authority over all nations will present the chip as a means to fight terrorism, track criminals, and keep normally good citizens from commiting crimes. But of course in reality, the anti-christ is seeking to take control of everybody and have all power and glory for himself.

So again, will atheist be the first ones in line for the chip implant?

Over & over again Christ completely reversed the OT laws--Christ said "en eye for an eye" was WRONG--Christ said obeying the word of God by stoning an adulteress to death was WRONG--Christ said the OT law to "give your enemy no peace was WRONG--Christ taught The OT law of divorcing you wife by personal letter was WRONG--in fact---everytime Christ said--"but I say unto you"-He was about to reverse an OT law.--So--If Christ could see how obviously wrong & barbaric the Old Testament was--why can't all Christians see the same thing??
Remember Christ only "fulfilled" the law--by destroying it.

I was at a high school retreat this past weekend and we had adoration Saturday night. We knelt in the room and the Eucharist was propped up on a table in front of us. I was staring at the white centerpiece for a like 2 minutes and then I swear a face appeared in it. It had long hair and a beard and at one point, I kid you not, it looked around at everybody in the room and smiled. At the end of adoration, the Arch-deacon went over to the Eucharist and as soon as he touched it with his cloth, the face disappeared. Well, when adoration was over, I told some people and they were like "That was Jesus!!!" And then the next day, I found out that one of the guys over there had a dream earlier about Jesus walking around, touching everybody's left shoulder, during adoration. He went on telling me how when Jesus reached me, he not only touched my shoulder, but also whispered in my ear, telling me that I was special and that later on in life I would figure out why. I figured out later that everyone

The brilliant and sexy Ann Coulter once said the way to deal with middle eastern savages was to kill their leaders and convert all the people into Chrsitians. I think she'd right- doesnt it seem obvious that the reason there is so much hate and evil in the middle east is **BECAUSE** so many people there have rejected Jesus Christ? And notice that liberals in this cpountry, who are so filled with hate and bile tend to be athiests and Jews? They too have rejected Jesus, and let Satan into their hearts. That is why liberalism is pure eveil- it is an absense of Jesus's grace..
Muslims have let Satan into their hearts. I think just as we need army and marines to shoot the terrrorists, we need to have emmisaries to force the Muslims to accept Jesus- ONLY THEN will they know salvation- If we are truly trying to free Iraq- what about freeing them from damnation? That can only come through Jesus christ. What would be the most effective way to force the Muslims to renounce Satan,& embrace Jesus

the words of Jesus right ?

but where does this say anything about hell ?
couldnt it be that we have to progress through the spirit realms until we reach that higher realm that Jesus resides on ( as spiritualists believe ) and only then do we reach God

couldnt it be that no on gets to the father ... is just a way of saying that we have to be spiritually advanced to reach him ?
why does this have to mean hell ? ... where does it say this ?

My neighbour who is a teenager is going to do "missionary work" in spain, italy, and poland. Those are three of the biggest catholic populations (k spain is starting to be secular), but why would you guys go as missionaries to catholic countries, k maybe you don't agree with them on some doctrine, but they believe in Jesus, and accept him and that's the whole point of your message so why try to convert catholics... why not go to muslim countries, or countries which aren't dominated by christians?

The genetic difference between man and it's closet relative the chimp is 1.6%, that doesn't seem like much but when calculated out that is a gap 48 million nucleatides and a change of only 3 nucleatides is fatal to an animal. There is no possiblity of change.

We have now discovered that the difference is much greater. Are you guys either confused or lying?

coelacanth was found Alive. The ivory-billed woodpecker was found alive. The ivory-billed woodpecker to me seems that there is hope that other extinct creatures are sure to still roam this Earth. Due to the fact that they thought Colelacanth and The ivory-billed was dead

There are many Caves, Under water caves, mountain that haven't bee explored step by step. Including the oceans, jungles, forest and woods..... etc. In the bible, Job, Behemoth & Leviathan were dinosaurs. Some bibles say they might be elephants or hippos & Croc's. I for one, have an open mind and Faith that Dino saurs still roam this earth. I believe they were in the garden of eden, Noah's Ark.....

I believe they ate all fruit, plant, vegi eaters before sin entered. we once lived a happy life with all creation until sin. now if you wonder how dino's fit in the ark. well, noah got baby dinos as well as baby animals, so they all can fit, due to the fact that there are many animals plus new speicies being discoverd
