the words of Jesus right ?

but where does this say anything about hell ?
couldnt it be that we have to progress through the spirit realms until we reach that higher realm that Jesus resides on ( as spiritualists believe ) and only then do we reach God

couldnt it be that no on gets to the father ... is just a way of saying that we have to be spiritually advanced to reach him ?
why does this have to mean hell ? ... where does it say this ?

The problem is that what you describe is nowhere described in the bible. Jeus says that no one gets to the father.... but through him. You took that a bit out of context. Additionally, hell is defined as separation from God. The idea of the bible is very different from spiritualism. The bible says that we CAN'T reach God on our own. We can only accept the gift that is offered. ALL other religions are ways for man to achieve "God". No other religion besides christianity says that man is not capable and must depend solely on God for his salvation.

No one comes to the Father except through me:

Jesus gained the authority for us to be able to come to the Father.

Hell: The second death. The second death is the separation of the soul (mind) from the spirit of life.
It is the mind that will go through hell for eternity because of the separation. Think about this: All the things one lusts for in this world will be forever denied in the spiritual realm. In the spiritual realm those LUSTS will be magnified a thousand times greater than on earth. Now if that won't be HELL, what ......?

Jesus is the way to the Father's house... It is the same way for everyone. Hell and heaven are physical places. As we have a lot of choices here on earth, there is only two choices what come to the eternity: hell and heaven. You get to choose.

Please, please. Look at the back of your Bible the key word hell...You do not want to end up in hell, you really do not. I respect your views, but I am not authorized to say to you that you are going to be fine even if you do not accept Jesus, because you are a nice person. You can still be a nice person and follow Jesus. You have a free will. : )

I think that most spiritual roads point toward the Father. When you get to a certain point though, you will have to contend with Jesus.

It does not follow that every one who is guided by Christ is directly conscious of His guidance. It does not address the ways in which Jesus brings people to the Father.

But remember, Jesus is the way, not the religion called christianity. While it is not a works based system, there are works that flow from a follower of Jesus (Matt 25:31-46 for example). This also implies that there are those who follow Jesus, but don't realize it. (much like CS Lewis' Calormene man in The Last Battle).

There will also be many who have adopted the religion of christianity but have not adopted Jesus - (Matt 7:21-23). They will be surprised.

I think the idea was meant to be more "no one reaches enlightenment without following my path". I mean, Jesus was no body guard and all he ever tried to do was to show people the way to be good people and make the most of this existence. You are not going to get where he is if you don't follow in his footsteps.

I don't see the hell aspect and frankly, the only hell I know is our own personal hell here on earth caused by giving into negative emotions like self hatred, doubt, fear, boredom, scarcity, etc. I think some of the bible has been a bit distorted in it's interpretation, to enhance the necessity for a Church to administer the religion.

Peace!

In the Vedic teachings Hell and Heaven are both material planets and are not eternal. Hell is attained by those who commit sinful acts and heaven is attained by those who do pious acts. Hell is suffering and Hell is enjoyment. The enjoyment in heaven is so much it seems to be everlasting. But when the pious credits finish one has to again come back to the earthly planet to undergo the cycle of birth and death in various species of life. Since both Hell and Heaven are material planets they are temporary and not eternal. Both are the two sides of the same coin. It is not that only Christians, Muslims or Hindus go to heaven. The Atma or soul is not designated falsely by sectarian titles. The Atma is always aloof from all the temporary situations it is put in.

Sometimes, one can experience the same hellish suffering and heavenly suffering while on the earth itself. Heaven and Hell are material and temporary. Transcendental to these two material dualities are the spiritual planets which are indestructible, eternal and one experiences unadultrated pure bliss in complete knowledge and association with the Lord.

We do not have to be advanced to reach God, because we never left "Him". God is not an objectified being, but is the primary energy gestalt, or, All That Is.

It is true that old ideas/beliefs pass away as we learn that reality is different than we had believed while in the physical, but the label "spiritual realms" is in deeper terms, meaningless.

There of course, is no hell...there is only God and everything God creates. We are the one beloved child of God. We remain as created.

First of all, there is no God Father and god Son. God is someone Unique. In the verses of a Glorious Book, God is descibed as:

1. Say: He is God, the One and Only;

2. Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;

3. He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;

4. And there is none like unto Him.

According to Christian concept of God, it sounds strange that, we worship Son and not the Father. Then comes another question, before the Son, who were the people worshipping. If they were worshipping the Father, then, why did they start to worship the Son?And what happened to the Father???

How can you take half a verse and ask what it has to do with something else? That kind of cut and paste is what gets people all confused and sends out wrong messages.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Hell is the absense of God. God is the author of all that is good, thus, without God, there can be no good. Hell is the absense of all that is good.

Jesus claim has no foundation to the truth about God. The religions did it so that you will lose your freewill and be dependent on the false teachings. God has created you in his image and likeness so that He stays in you and you in Him. You are responsible and you are the only one who can pave the way to meet Him and no others. Do not believe in hell as a solid place, it is just a state of mind to put you in fear. Live the righteous way that God Expects, follow His commands because nobody except you can make your own destiny. Choose to do what is right always. Something may be good to do but be sure you will have to know if it is right in the eyes of God not necessarily on what the religions are telling you.
