Its pretty hard to say. Christianity has been exerting its influence on Western Civilization for 2000 years. You'd have to figure out what would have happened in Europe from the Dark Ages all the way through to the Age of Exploration.

That's way too many "what if's" for me to even venture a guess.

I will say this, christianity did do one great thing for Western Civ., and that was during the Dark Ages after the fall of Rome. The Church kept many of the writings of Greece and Rome preserved, ready to be read a few hundred years later. Without that Classical knowledge, its not too hard to say our society would have developed much slower.

There are too many variables, it would be impossible to answer a hypothetical question like that. Maybe the U.S. would exist in some form, with Zoroastrianism or Buddhism or Druidism as the religion. Who cares?

"Question with boldness even the existence of a god; because if there is one he must approve of the homage of reason more than that of blindfolded fear."

Interesting question... A bit like Israel today, with a bit more of the stern Old Testament Laws in place, perhaps?

Isn't it great that Christ came to be? He made all the difference in the World (literally!) !

Because so much of western civilization was affected by religion, it's possible that the US as we know it wouldn't exist either.

I believe their would possibly be no U.S. since the Pilgrims ran away from the Catholics for religious freedom. We "were" founded on Godly beliefs. God bless.
