...how would you live your life differently?

Who would you turn to?

HYPOTHETICALLY...I'm interested in your secondary source of strength and moral guidance. Do you attribute any of your Beauty to anything/anyone other than God?

CATHERINE E: I hear your concern, I would not want to belong to an "amok" society either. But do you truly believe that without God, people would become "whack jobs." I don't mean to challenge you...just hoping you'll see that even without God...you would be just as Extrodinay--becuase you have YOU!

Christians would be crestfallen, since their life would have no meaning. In fact, they would probably be in denial and continue going to church anyway. They've been saying that without God we would all act like monkeys, so one can assume poo flinging would be in order for them.

Muslims would keep believing regardless. "Never question the Koran, bitches!"

Jews would... be Jews, I guess. It's more of a tradition thing for them anyway, for the most part. The orthodox ones might finally cut their hair though.

Buddhists would be unaffected, at least most of them, anyways. Some of those sects have differing beliefs on the matter.

The Amish would never get the news, because they wouldn't have the technology to retrieve it.

Other religions might be shocked a bit, but they'd get over it in time. I'm sure of it.

Atheists would dance naked in the streets, screaming "In your face mother f***ers!!" as they are want to do in such occasions. That would happen for about an hour, then their lives would continue normally.

Agnostics would say, "See? I told you so! I never believed in that God anyway!" ...Damn f***ing fence-sitters.

God would be super pissed, get really depressed, and eat a lot of ice cream while watching Gilmore Girls repeats to drown the pain.

Later note: Whoops, misread your question as "if tomorrow, it was proved that god exists..."

Which god? An impersonal creator or some middling sky god demanding human sacrifices? This needs to be placed into context, as there are over 2,000 gods created by the human species.

Secondly, I do not think that I would live my life differently, save for understanding empirical evidence for the existence of a god. My world view would adapt to evidence. A deity is no different. But does this does not mean that I'd sacrifice my life if there were a god. I suppose it would depend on the ethics of the deity/deities that are proven to exist.

Of course, this is merely hypothetical because religion is a farce. But it's an interesting thing to think about.

u silly humans, with your silly science, u think u know everything.

there is no scientific way to prove whether god exists or not. and there is no need to.
people put too much faith into science and not enough on their own feelings. as a child we are told that god created the earth and made adam and eve and so on. (not all of us obviously, but this is just an example) and we believe it, like we KNEW santa was real, we KNEW it, we didnt think it, we KNEW it. is the same we ppl KNOW that their god is real, people who are not open minded to believing other religions that is. if sumone told u as an adult, that a big powerful man in the sky took a piece of dirt and made u, yu wud say, according to SCIENCE, "umm, no, daddy put his penis into mommy and moved in and out until he ejaculated" and thats how i was made.a smart man wud then ask. well how was daddy made. and his daddy and his daddy, until u reach the first man/thing, then wat? SCIENCE STOPS THERE, CANT SAY ****.science cannot prove anyting to do with God, no matter whats science says, even if science says the universe came into existence in the BIG BANG. This is just a name, maybe the "big bang" is when god created the universe.

i was a FIRM atheist, and did not believe in any god at all or anything like that. but then i been thinking, even though science can tell u that u are a "human" and u evolved from a "monkey". these are JUST names for what already existed.

just because scientists can name something doesnt mean they know what it is. there were always rocks, minerals, sodium clorhide and diamonds, LONG before we were here, and they werent called these things. everything now has a label and people are fooled into thinkin that because we can say that we evolved from monkeys means that their is no need for a creator. which is stupidity in my opinion.

a fool "knows" he knows everything, a wise man knows he knows nothing.

in the world around u RIGHT NOW, there are radio waves and all sorts of cosmic waves that ur eyes cannot even percieve. right now, u looking at the computer screen. THATS NOT WHAT IT REALLY LOOKS LIKE! its just the mental image that your eyes are sending your brain, but like i said, those are just labels, imagine as though u werent trained to "know" all these things like you have "eyes" and "ears" and a "nose". these are just labels for things which hav always existed . imagine living in a time before such "wonderful education". just because u kno that water "evaporates" and goes into the sky and "clouds" are formed and it rains doesnt mean u know why it rains. a few thousand years ago they "KNEW" that when they prayed to the rain god that it wud rain, they KNEW THIS FOR FACT..

i have SERIOUSLY gone off track, thanks to my "schizophrenia"...anyways..srry about that

since there is no "scientific" way to prove gods existence, or non-existence.

We already live in a world where people believe in god(s) despite a lack of any evidence.

The real interesting hypothetical is how the world would change if there was suddenly proof of god--now we'd have a much different world than we live in today.

There have been an awful lot of people on here that have said they would be out raping, stealing, and murdering if it wasn't for God. It would probably behoove us all to go hide if it was proven that God didn't exist, because all those whack jobs would be running amok.

As I live it now. I don't need an artificial deity to supplant the first one I didn't believe in.

in the pretense that such a thing could occur.. i'd still follow the Bible. it has guidelines for a high moral life.

To disprove something, you have to define it. To define something, you have to understand it. If we would understand God, he truly would not BE.
My life would not change, only my philosophy
