Most JWs I've seen going door to door, appear to do so out of obligation and habit, rather than from the heart. I've literally seen JWs stand holding up their magazines without saying a word, or so much as a smile. Yet I'm sure they happily documented that time "standing" on their time sheets.
If someone preaches, tithes, helps another, or does anything in the name of God, hoping to earn points into heaven, or because their religion tells them it must be done, that behavior is not in agreement with scripture.

First, the proper term would be revert, not convert, as they are reverting back to an earlier form of Christianity. And they don't seek people to change them, they seek people whose hearts are seeking change. They see where this world is headed, they look around and see how so many of today's religions are following the same path, so they are seeking a religion who is not following the same path, but has taken the much more difficult path, but one that has a gate at the end.
Some people are better at this than others. My stepfather was a hard nose and very much against anything witness, while my mother studied. He threw the books away. Than came Stan Comer, who didn't talk to him about the truth. They talked about the Korean war, which both had been in.
That was over 40 years ago. Stan died this month, and my stepfather may not live to see Armageddon. He had a stroke two years ago, so he doesn't get out in the service much. Mom has not been out in years, due to her health. She did make the Memorial, last night, which had to be held at the high school auditorium due to the size. Her congregation is getting ready to split, again. They will need to build a new Kingdom Hall this time, as there is already three congregations sharing the Hall now in Corning, CA.
Here's something I wrote about my stepfather in 2005.

Their religion believes in "witnessing" and telling the goodness of Christ by sharing their beliefs. They dont have a quota to meet or anything.

No.
Christians must preach, but they cannot make anyone listen.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching ...and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer

If I go out and save 101 people and my wife saves 100 and I'm at the cut-off, she is out of luck. JWism has a finite amount of spaces available.
But you get to wear a cheap brown suit so, all good.
